It’s pepper picking time here..🫑🌶️

🫑Okay, I was going to wait another week but thanks to the monsoon 🌊 of a rain we just had it’s starting now!

🌶️🌶️These long, deep red Italian Roaster sweet peppers are my absolute favorite roasting pepper. Heck eat them off the stem, stuff, wrap, fry, whatever, they are soooo sweet!

Plus the bells all showed up this year too!🫑🫑🌶️🌶️

😍Also the best eggplant variety in my opinion.

Why!? I like the thin skinned unlike some of the dark varieties, and the delicate nutty flavor of these, especially when frying or in soup! 🍲 🍽️

🥒Well we have been super busy, as I’m sure most of you are.

Between helping my husband with our water well business, running down the road to get our daughter to her next steer or bull riding (okay maybe I’m a part of entering so many. It’s kind of addicting🐃😜), to tending to the garden with an explosion of things to harvest, and the start of a very busy canning season, then add in the ranch work. I haven’t updated with what we have to offer coming up.

That being said, it’s time to let you know what’s getting ready to head to your home! We will have this week:

Get on our list for some fresh, absolutely no chemicals seed to harvest lettuce. It looks like it’s going to be a remotely cool week which means there’s a good chance our lettuce isn’t bolting yet! Add an order of radishes 🫜

Wren has been succession planting radishes often. He definitely did it for his own love of radishes but is selling some.

🫜Some quick radish notes

- support liver function
- daily dose of vitamin. C and a good source of fiber
- dense nutrition
- flush out those toxins

💥let me tell you some things we love to do

🫜 roast over open wood fire (the wren special)
🫜 chop raw to add to our lettuce blend
🫜 sauté the greens with raw butter and garlic
🫜 radish leaf pesto

We had a lot of progress in the gardens today but I couldn’t help but watch the kids have a really good day! Thankful for the rain and the fact we didn’t get baseball sized hail like our alerts said!

🫔That being said, they got a lot made! Lucky for you locals, you can get your hands on some of these delicious fresh little bundles of tastebud pleasers🫔😉

🌶️ buy them by the dozen and freeze for later!

🥮Because of my children’s love for the delectable conchas (great little light, delicate, and delicious sweet bread) Cynthia is taking orders for those as well since she’s going to be fulfilling my kids order!

🧄🧅Lastly, i highly recommend the salsa to complement the tamales🔥 I also use her salsa on literally everything. Sometimes just by the spoonful💥🤣🤣🤣
