What Is The Cornstalk Roughage Equalizer?🤔
The Cornstalk Roughage Equalizer is 16% protein, with all the Vitamins and Minerals needed for the cows needs. It is in meal form, comes in 50-pound bags and is fed free choice in your feeders, tubs, etc.
How Do We Feed It?‍🤷‍♂️
Start feeding the Cornstalk Roughage Equalizer a few days before you turn them out on down ear corn. Make sure they are all eating it properly. We need them to be used to the taste of it and get the product into their system. Make sure they have all that they want to eat the day before you turn them out in the corn or milo field. Then make sure they have all they will consume while there is ear corn or milo on the ground. Put it in several feeders so all can get to it and by the water only. Feed it at least as long as there is any grain in the field. Important: Make sure there aren’t any piles of shelled corn on the ground before you turn them in the field.
What Keeps The Cows From Dieing, Aborting, Long Hoofs, When They Eat Too Much Ear Corn? 🐄🐂🐃
The cow’s rumen normally has around 25% starch bugs (corn, milo, etc.) and around 25% roughage bugs (grass, hay, cornstalks, etc.) the other 50% can float from roughage bugs. If we go to a feedlot, we want to convert the 50% to starch so we can fatten cattle. We do not want this for a brood cow. It can also destroy the baby calf in the cow, weak, sick, still born calves at birth etc. The rumen pack can help to prevent the rumen bug change and keep the 75% roughage bugs working. The 25% starch bugs are enough to get energy, value, out of some of the grain. The cows will be in good condition, with a very healthy calf at birth.

• Tariffs and quantity restraints to limit imports and rebalance trade
• Packers and Stockyards Act enforcement to restore market competition
• Reverse mandatory EID eartags requirement
• Reform or eliminate the mandatory beef checkoff program
