Friend or foe?

These little guys hitched a ride into the office on the back of an orange leaf. After looking at them under the microscope we were able to see that these are Asian Citrus Psyllid nymphs. Though they may be cute, they are trouble! These are the insects responsible for vectoring the devastating Citrus Greening disease, also known as Huanglongbing (HLB). It is a bacterial disease that will eventually kill infected citrus trees, though some can live with it for some time.
