Today marks the end of an era. After operating Creeping Thyme Farm for over a decade, out last two goats left the property today. Serveral years ago we sold the majority of the herd to Frank and Julie Defrancesco, but kept a dozen retirees. Sadly, they have gradually died off. Now Frank and Julie have retired and sold the herd to Nancy MariPosa. We are very grateful to Nancy for contacting us and offering to reunite our two remaining girls back with their herd! We were worried about ending up with one lonely goat...they are herd animals and not meant to be alone. Now that will not be an issue. So no goats to feed tonight...no goats to feed tomorrow morning...and the last two goats,safely settled in to their new home. Thank you, Nancy!

We are now renting our little Creeping Thyme Cabin on AirBnb.com. Search for it in Buxton, Maine if you or friends/relatives are looking for a get away. Goat care, soap, fudge and cheese classes could be scheduled while here too!

$50 pp includes lecture and notes.
Approx. two hours

Goat Milk Soap - June 9 at 1 pm
$75 pp includes lecture, notes,
ingredients and mold; you will make 8
bars to take home with you.
Approx. two hours

Goat Milk Fudge - May 12 at 12:30
June 9 at 3:15
$25 includes lecture, notes, and help
making a batch...can’t have it but can
lick the spoons!
Approx. 45minutes

Goat care classes also available for those thinking of getting goats.

All classes are held at 35 Hall Road in Buxton, Maine. Additional dates available on request. Please message me!

Even though we are retired from farming, we are still offering classes! Our next cheese class will be Saturday, May 12 at 10:00 a.m. Love to have you join us! Message me to reserve your seat. Class is approx. two hours and is $50 per person. Soap making, goat care and additional cheese classes scheduled on demand.

Exciting news...after ten exciting years we have decided to retire! We have sold our herd to Frank and Julie Defrancesco, who have just bought a beautiful property in Limington to start up Bending Birch Farm. Julie has been here weekly for several months to learn to milk and make soap, fudge and cheese. We are sharing our secret recipes with her in hopes she can carry on what we have begun. And we believe she is up to the task!

Our bucks moved last month, half of the does she is taking moved last weekend, and the rest move this weekend. We are only keeping ten of our old girls who have also earned a retirement...no more kidding or milking for them (or us!).

We have made our last products professionally and will milk our last goats on Saturday. It has been an amazing decade! We have learned so very many things we knew nothing about, met some wonderful people, and shared our lives with these amazing animals.

So glad we went on this journey! Now it is time for watching the sun rise and set, enjoying our family, not working so hard, and taking time to breathe...many thanks from the bottom of our hearts for all the support and loyalty you have given us over the years. We hope you will watch for Bending Birch products and look them up if you want any kids next spring!

Today I adopted the dog of my dreams! She is exactly what I wanted. But love like this comes at a price....so if you ever wanted to take a soap class or buy a goat, this is a great time! I have a dog to pay for.... :)
