Yesterday I was being careless in my kitchen and my cup got broken. This had become my favorite coffee cup. I’m not a super sentimental person when it comes to objects, but this meant something 💔

Homesteading and chickens can be challenging. We went through several months of broody chickens that were eating eggs and hens that would only use specific nesting boxes. This caused hairline cracks in shells from chicks stepping on already full boxes.
We have since changed our coop and added roll away nesting boxes. Now if we could just get over this heat!

I honestly have zero cares if a chick is a cockerel or pullet (I will be keeping them either way), but why do 3 of my crested polish give off cockerel vibes. I will have to find separate sleeping quarters for the boys 🤣
