We’re thrilled to kick off our annual Heroes & Hope Foundation fundraiser in support of Achievement, helping students build the financial, career and business skills they need for life beyond the classroom.

Now through mid-September, store guests can support Junior Achievement by donating $0.50, $1, $5 or $10 at checkout in participating stores, including Chiefs Market, D&W® Fresh Market, Family Fare®, Forest Hills Foods, Martin’s Super Markets, Needler’s Fresh Market and Remke Community Markets, as well as affiliated fuel centers. Donations can also be made when placing an online grocery order.

A small gift today can give students the confidence to imagine what is possible — and the tools to make it happen. We’re grateful for your support and look forward to seeing you at checkout!

Our Grand Rapids team brought the energy for two inspiring days at our 2026 Food Solutions Expo!

Customers, vendor partners and team members came together to build connections, discover new products and explore practical solutions that help hometown grocers strengthen their businesses and better serve the communities that count on them. This year’s Expo celebrated the hometown advantage — built store by store, neighbor by neighbor — and the local connections that continue to set independent grocers apart.

From conversation across the show floor to keynote remarks from Eric Winn, chief executive officer, and Amy McClellan, chief marketing and merchandising officer, retail and independents, the Expo reinforced our commitment to helping our customers secure value, anticipate what’s next and bring meaningful food solutions back to their stores and shoppers.

Thank you to our customers, vendor partners and team members for making this year’s Expo a success. We appreciate your partnership and look forward to continuing to grow together.

Powered by the passion of our store teams and shoppers, the SpartanNash Foundation donated $300,000 for Convoy of Hope, Folds of Honor and Operation Homefront.

Through donations at participating company-operated retail stores, fuel centers, online grocery orders and YourCause, communities across 10 states came together to support current service members; provide educational scholarships to the spouses and children of first responders and military members who have fallen or been disabled while serving in the United States Armed Forces; as well as those who have experienced natural disasters such as tornadoes, floods and hurricanes.

Thank you to everyone who donated. Your generosity is making a lasting impact on our hero partners.

What starts as a simple plastic bag drop-off at a SpartanNash-operated store can become something much bigger — a safer way home for a neighbor in need. This week, SpartanNash volunteers helped bring that impact to life by partnering with Home Repair Services of Kent County to build another ramp for a neighbor in need.

Through our Bags 2 Boards™ initiative, plastic bags collected at SpartanNash-operated stores are recycled by Trex® into durable decking boards used by Home Repair Services to build accessibility ramps across West Michigan.

Thank you to our volunteers and partners at Home Repair Services and Trex for helping turn recycled materials into meaningful community impact.
