Fall calving has officially clocked in.
This little feller is employee #1 of the 2026 night shift. No résumé. No manners. Already trying to rewrite ranch policy with his hooves.
First calf of the season is on the ground, up, and acting like he pays the note. That’s a good start.

🚨 Pain in the Pump 🚨

Ranch side: SOLD OUT.
Y’all hit the ranch like a truck on an empty tank. Our 150 lb is gone.
Homestead Hollow Farm still has about 40 pounds left. That is not a lot of chili. Call them before you drive.
Thank you for buying local instead of just yelling at the pump. That’s how a little Arkansas ranch keeps beef on the menu!

Our next custom soap collaboration is with Wh***ey Pig Ranch out of Cabot, Arkansas — and this one is a little different because BJ actually helped start this whole idea.

A while back, BJ came to me wanting a soap made for Wh***ey Pig Ranch, modeled after one of his favorite soaps. That conversation ended up planting the seed for what has now become our custom soap collaborations with the farms, stores, and small businesses we work with.

Wh***ey Pig Ranch isn’t technically one of our retail partners — at least not yet. But if BJ ever gets that store up and running, you can bet Ahillen Acres will be in there.

He’s also been incredibly generous in helping us with another project we’ve been wanting to tackle. BJ gave us a ton of beef fat from his cattle so that, when we’re ready to start developing our tallow-based personal care products, we’ll have beef fat coming from a local farm and from cattle raised by people we actually know.

That means a lot to us.

We spend a ridiculous amount of time developing these products — testing recipes, changing formulas, working on scents, designing labels, and figuring out how to make something that actually represents the farm or business behind it. Being able to source ingredients from another local farmer makes that even better.

So this collaboration is kind of where the whole idea began.

We braved the heat and got some cedar posts in the ground today. One step closer to our rainwater collection for the cows. 🥃🐷. Appreciate Tony Pemberton for the help!
