What a great weekend we had at the Ardmore Pecan Festival hosted by Pitmaster Aj George and a wonderful committee of volunteer staff. We’ve struggled some this year with lots of personal issues so it felt great to begin wrapping up the year with a solid finish. Congratulation to all those who had a call from the 36 tough teams

Just a little practice today for the next rib and Outlaw Bbq Competition this weekend in Decatur. Come on out for the rib competition Friday with trick or treating that night for the kids and then again Saturday all day for the regular three meat competition. Judges needed both days

El Jefe Taco Sazon is the new Sherrif in town kicked but this weekend on some competition beans at the El Dorado Chevrolet, Along with Mad Max Wildthang Rubs and the amazing chorizo from Joes Meat Market.
Kevin Perry has grown this into a wonderful and very tough competition. Unfortunately our other entries didn’t walk but they made great leftovers. We started our fall competition series this weekend at the Texas Motor Speedway in Ennis. We have been off since June for the summer break and boy was I rusty. I was pleased with our flavors but appearance was rough. Unfortunately we didn’t get any walks but with 66 amazing teams I didn’t feel to bad. A big shout out to the staff one and all of Outlaw BBQ association for a great event, Jambo Pits Jamie Geer and all those who had a walk. A big congratulations to a few great gentleman of the bbq world. Winner Aaron Lesley of Texas Oil Dust LLC and good friend Jaime Garza of team Native Smoke on the Reserve Grand Champion. SRDS is raising money to support those impacted by the recent floods in the Kerrville, TX area. ALL proceeds from this waffle will go to The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country , a local foundation that ensures donations go directly to verified relief efforts.

Waffle winner gets an SR-3 Model smoker with their choice of two colors!

This waffle will run a bit differently to help raise as much as possible!
