A small early morning harvest before more rain moves in!

The Zinnias this year received a large upgrade with growing space and variety, I couldn't be more pleased with how they are doing! I'm really loving the Queen Lime and Green Envy Zinnias this time around!

Armfuls of Peony Asters! 🩷

These gorgeous flowers were sold out before I even left the house for florist deliveries this morning! (I was really hoping to have a few left for myself 🫣)

I trialed a few shades last year and fell in love! I mean look at that apricot color! 😍 This year I made sure they had a full bed to themselves and I can't believe they are almost gone already. There will be even more space dedicated to them next year!

These asters last 2+ weeks in a vase and even longer in the cooler. They need a long growing season so they are started in the spring but don't begin to flower until the day length shortens in late summer and early fall.

Bouquets going out the door for delivery and pick up today!

We're hitting a point in the garden where the flowers are really starting to crank out consistent blooms. If you would like to order a bouquet for yourself or someone else, delivery and pickup options are available!

Currently the garden has a pastel vibe going on with pale pink Lisianthus, light purple Stock, creamy orange, green and pink Zinnias along with the most beautiful apricot Asters to name a few! 💚

I would love to design more bouquets for you to enjoy in your home or to bless a family member or friend with 😊

WOW! What a busy few days!

The build your own bouquet bar was stocked and restocked 3 times in 2 days. From a farmers market to a girls night out event to another farmers market.
On top of that there were 5 florist deliveries for a wedding, a funeral and regular inventory along with a few pickup orders since Thursday. (Just wait till you see the beautiful collaboration pictures with Gather North | Northern Michigan Charcuterie!)

I cannot wait to spend some time relaxing tomorrow with the family then back to work building flower beds for transplanting perennials from the other farm location.

When you're a farmer the work never stops!

I am so thankful for the support and farms that joined to sponsor a few families for the Downtown Cadillac Farmers Market $75 produce giveaway! It's so wonderful seeing the community come together!

It went so well that we have 5, YES FIVE more families that have the opportunity to win again next Friday 9/4!

This time our local farmers will have produce boxes pre packed at a value of $40 each!

Boxes may include but not limited to; tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, squashes, beans, corn, granola, maple syrup, salad greens ect

So I would like to take a moment to apologize to the community for missing the opportunity to sponsor a few kid wristbands at the fair again this week.

To make it up I would like to sponsor a family $75 to spend on local produce (veggies/fruits), meat, eggs, seasonings, garlic & breads, at the downtown Cadillac Farmers Market on Friday 8/28. (The $75 must be spent at the market on local perishable food items only)
*I am adding honey and maple syrup as well!

I will do a drawing on Thursday 8/27.

The Dahlia!
Probably the most well known flower and most diverse for its size, shape and color.

Dahlias can range from 1in to 10+ inches wide, are available in fringed, decorative, ball, cactus, dinner plate, water lily, ponpom styles (I'm sure I'm missing some) and can be any color or combination out there in exception to blue. Many are two toned with almost a metallic look to them, others have streaks of different colors and even edges or the underside of petals that have contrasting colors.
