When I transplant our tomatoes I use a handful of bone meal and worm castings in the bottom of the hole and make a slurry filling the hole up with water. Then when de-potting the plant, squeeze the roots and place in the hole. This give the tomatoes a nice boost to start growing! Happy planting!

Happy Sunday everyone! I know I have MIA for awhile. I switched companies for my day job last June and have been focusing on that mostly but the farm is still running! We have been busy around here! Today we planted 400 onion sets, started our orchard with 2 sweet cherry and 2 peach trees, we relocated our blueberry plants and started a new blueberry patch while adding 5 more plants. We started a raspberry patch today, 5 red and 5 black! We are revamping our strawberry patch with the plants I have started indoors - a bush variety - Missaukee Conservation District

We are waiting on our 8x12 green house to arrive - hopefully this week. We are doing raised garden beds this year for almost everything except root veggies. We will also be installing a root cellar so we will show that process. 🌱

Beginning of may our 16 meat turkeys poults will arrive and end of may our 50 freedom ranger meat chickens will arrive -more to come on those. 🐥 🦃

If anyone is interested we have khaki Campbell hatching eggs $10/doz, we have chicken eggs for sale $3/doz 🥚

Well, due to something eating all my plants from underneath I will not be vending this year. I have re planted a few times already this year with no success. 😞 Plans to go raised bed for next year.

Let me officially introduce our pet pigs. Ronald is our Hereford boar weighing around 350-400lbs just coming a year old . He loves his scratches, snacks, and spa time everyday. Penelope is our Hereford gilt also weighing between 350-400lbs. She loves lounging in the shade, dinner time, snacks, scratches, and spa time everyday.

Stay tuned for updates on these two as Penelope is due in July with her first litter! 🐷 🐖
