This was the end of hay harvest 2025. We snapped a quick pic.

I’m always so proud of him when we wrap up a season of harvest.

We are working on the 2026 harvests now.

This years had already included rain, breakdowns, fires, wars and rumors of wars. Okay, that last bit is a stretch, but some days it feels like we are in a war!

But farming is a way of life that we fight to have everyday.

Some days we fight even though we hate it. Some days we fight because we know in the depths of our soul this is worth fighting for.

Farming does best flowing through the generations. Sure farming can succeed without a family behind it, but something is going to be missing.

Like the perfect spice in an ancient old recipe, a family gives a farm that “chef’s kiss!”

My (Molly’s) parents came to visit and this was a sweet moment. My dad (Pop) doing dishes with his granddaughter. Passing down a way of life.

Mom and Pop milked cows too. I got to grow up on a beautiful family farm on a beautiful hill in a small town in WI.

Our family loves when my parents come!

Mom and Pop understand the culture of farming. They understand the demand of farming! But best of all, they give wisdom of this culture and demand that years of farming taught them.

Generational living. Such a beautiful design. As if created by someone bigger than we are.

To be producers is such an honor!

Our farm produces milk. But did you know we produce some of our own feed for our herd and even get the chance to sell some feed too? If we have abundance, of course.

It’s quite the challenge when a choice is made to be a producer and not just a consumer.

We want our kids to learn that too!
