So I guess it’s time to put our two cents in since the conversation about Hancock bred horses and breeding for color seems to be making its rounds.

Crusaden Raider is the foundation of our program and everything we could want in a horse. Although he is a bay roan, you can’t ride color. We understand why people want color, and there’s nothing wrong with that, but we have never bred strictly for it.

We carefully select our horses and crosses to produce conformationally correct, intelligent, athletic, and rideable babies. We breed for athleticism, brains, conformation, size, and rideability; if color comes with that, it’s icing on the cake.

Our goal is to produce useful, versatile horses built to last and give every baby the best possible start. We aren’t following trends we’re building a program we’re proud of, one cross at a time. 🤎🐴 Pictured is a bay mare (goose) out of our stallion Crusaden Raider! While she may not have the color everyone desires she has everything else and more❤️

Two of our babies from this year that have really made us proud. 🤎 Watching these babies grow, develop, and start showing us exactly what we bred them to be is one of the most rewarding parts of this program. 🐴🔥

Another homegrown baby with an amazing story to go along with him! ❤️

This gelding came through our program where he helped catch wild cattle, got a great start on the head side, and even had my wife loping a nice set of barrels on him. These horses aren’t just pretty to look at they’re versatile, handy, and capable of so much more than one job!

Now his new owner has taken him in a whole new direction, and he’s excelling in dressage in Colorado! We absolutely love seeing our horses go on to succeed in different disciplines and make their mark wherever they land.

This is what it’s all about! Raising good-minded, versatile horses that can do a little bit of everything. Proud to see another one of ours doing big things! 🤠❤️

Reba is going to be a BIG girl! 💕 She was one out of last year’s foal crop, and we can’t wait to see what she does in the roping pen! We have big plans for this girl, and eventually she’ll make her way into the breeding program. We can’t wait to watch her grow and see what the future holds for her! 🐴💕

We LOVE getting updates on how our Raider babies are doing! ❤️

This is Jones, a 2 year old out of Easy Little Blast by Crusaden Raider, owned by Josie McGrew.

Today was his very first ride, and this c**t handled it like a champ! No silliness, no bucking, just a willing young horse taking everything in stride. 🙌🏼

These babies’ temperaments really do speak for themselves, and we couldn’t be more proud to offer such quality, good minded horses to the public.

Thank you, Josie, for giving Jones such a great home and keeping us updated on his progress! We love seeing these babies grow and succeed! ❤️🐴
