We use jewelweed to help soothe itchy skin. If you come into direct contact with poison ivy you need to wash the area either soapy water, launder contaminated clothing, clean any tools, gloves or pets that may have come into contact with urushiol oil.

Jewelweed can help prevent the spread of poison ivy rash.

As we spend more time outdoors we need to protect our skin from bugs, poison ivy, ticks, and the sun.

Your skin is your largest organ so take the time to cover up, use mineral based sunscreens, keep your pants tucked into your socks, shower soon after any outdoor activities, and try to avoid leaves of three, just let it be as a way to avoid poison ivy.
