Very happy that Chubby - the golden Araucana hen - appears to be recovered from her near death experience last month. We found her hanging upside down by one foot from the chicken wire and thought she was dead. We figure she was sleeping on the upper outside roost (left hand side of the chicken coop) and fell off and got tangled in the wire. She was barely alive when Rob rescued her from her situation but we managed to reanimate her with a surprisingly large quantity of electrolytes - essentially chicken Gatorade. During last evening's Squadron yard time, she was fully her earth excavating, bread gobbling, flying about self. Her limp has significantly improved and even her jacked up big toe looks like its okay (we were sure she was going to loose it).
