And that’s all she wrote!! ☃️❄️ The season is officially over. Jack Frost visited us early this morning!

I wasn’t expecting frost, so waking up to this was a surprise! Had I known, I probably would’ve spent a little more time in the dahlias yesterday. But that’s how it goes when you grow flowers. 🤍

These beauties went into the ground in early May and worked their little bums off all season, giving us so many beautiful blooms. Now it’s time to put the field to bed and tuck everyone away for winter.

The next few weeks will look a little like this:
🌸 Mow down the flowers
💧 Pull up the drip tape
✂️ Cut back the dahlias
🍂 Dig up their tubers
📦 Gather, label, and store them away for winter

One season ends, and the work for the next one begins. 🤍

And just like that, Lovely Hollow is officially closed for the 2026 season! 🌸

✨What a year. I can hardly believe this was my 8th season of Lovely Hollow. Eight years of growing flowers, building this business, and continuing to watch this place become such a special part of so many people’s lives.

☺️It was honestly a wild season , but in a great way. Watching the first peonies bloom from our 2025 investment , planting the thousands of dahlia tubers in April, planning a surprise wedding for right here on the farm, and then also leaving for a month (honeymoon) and trusting the farm to my lovely girls! ❤️

It’s always bitter sweet, but it’s time to take the canvas and strip it bare again and let the farm rest while we recreate and rejuvenate in the off season!

🚜Over the next few weeks, we’ll be mowing down the fields, digging up thousands of dahlia tubers to store for winter, pulling irrigation, cleaning up, and putting the farm to bed until 2027!

We’re anticipating reopening July 10, 2027! But stay tuned for a possible peony season update. That is usually late May that peonies bloom around here. Our peonies will be entering their second growing season, and we’re just as curious as you are to see what they decide to do! 🤞🏼

Thank you to everyone who visited, picked flowers, attended an event, brought a friend, or simply followed along this year. Eight seasons in, and I’m still so grateful that I get to do this!!
