🌸hi hi my lovely friends!! A few things of business !!!🌸 just a little May photo drop!

& a funny little moment at the end of it of my neighbors always bickering. 🤺🥊

- it's freaking JUNE. How. Half the year is complete! What have you done this year?

-my battle of wanting to make silly reels and post pretty farm pics VS punt kicking my phone into the Mariana Trench is a DAILY battle!! Does it ever get better?!😬😶‍🌫️😅

-I am taking up a new thing called "captions written by an actual human” era!! I can't do it anymore guys💻. If I see quietly, and honestly? Or that damn — dash mark I'm going to lose it!!! (I believe I actually already have?)🧐

Alright sarcasm aside- it was a wonderful May! 🌸

The dahlias were planted. The pumpkins planted. All seedlings and direct seeds in the ground! Amazing! All by mid May!

💕💗The peony fields did their thing for their first season and I am so proud of them! I am excited to see their beauty multiply each spring. They have since shed their blooms and now will rest and gather nutrients all summer and fall before being chopped back to bloom again next spring !

June is all about weeds weeds weeds and then just waiting for the babies to all become grown children ☀️🌻🌼!

🌱Weeding crew is here almost everyday! The weather has been hot and dry and strange.

And...the farm opens in 33 days! Ciao!❤️

🌸💐Happy Friday my flower lovers!

🎤🎧A few weeks ago I was invited to be a special guest on The Dirt on Flowers; a podcast hosted by two lovely and amazing flower farmers from Ohio who keep it real about what it actually looks like to build a business in agriculture, flowers, and life!

In this episode, we get into the honest, behind-the-scenes side of growing a flower farm and growing yourself right alongside it. We talk about social media imposter syndrome, the weird pressure to constantly perform online, and how hard it can be to market your business while still staying authentic.

We also dive into my experience with U-Pick events; what has worked, what I’ve learned, mistakes I’ve made, and lots of giggles in between.

We talk boundaries, burnout, growing pains, lessons learned the hard way, things we would absolutely never do again, and the reality that building something beautiful usually comes with a little chaos.

the ending of 2025 season for LHF. 🎬🔚 photos by the EVER talented

such a bitter sweet feeling each time 🥶FROSTMAS🥶 comes around. I woke up this this morning to frost covered dahlias and zinnias. It’s beautiful and tragic.

As the morning sun thawed the frost, the flowers didn’t come back to life. The water inside their cells expanded, splitting them open. They burst apart in a kind of fragile, beautiful ending. ❄️🥶

And so with that, the end has come for the flower farm for this year. The month long clean up begins! Mow the fields, pull the irrigation, dig the dahlias, work the ground, prepare for 2026, and plant the 5,000 peonies roots…. Oh did you catch that?😉💗✨ details to come on that soon!

With that , 2025 LHF has been cataloged and put to rest. I am proud of this season for lots of personal ones that I’ll eventually share❤️‍🩹.

Funny how creativity has a way of returning when everything else has been stripped away. & that’s how I felt in the spring when it was time to get busy and grow life again from the ground, when I felt so empty. It was my favorite season because I accomplished it and climbed the mountain. 🗻⬆️

✨Thank you for loving , supporting and cherishing this farm- I will never take that for granted. I hope you know that. 🥹💜

🫶2025 has been my favorite season for so many reasons; and I’ll get into those later.

🌅But come out for one more evening of live music by the comedian and great food by .boise and and let’s watch a harvest sunset together!
