We’re just fully of unlikely friendships here at Ebony Acres 😊
It’s either that or some of our animals may not realize what species they truly are 🤦🏻‍♀️
**Picture 1 - Leo (chicken) & Caspar (horse). Leo has decided she now lays her eggs 🥚 in Caspar’s stall 🤷🏻‍♀️
**Picture 2 - Caspar & Huey share a stall at night and have been since our other goat, Louie, passed away. Huey is always there to help catch all the leftovers from evening grain.
**Picture 3 - Huey always makes sure to guard his chickens. He may be a little confused as to what a goat does 😂

Babies finally got to make the big move outside! ☀️ They’ll stay in the lil coop for awhile so the other chickens can adjust.

Their names are:
Angela, Bertha, Beatrice, Edna, Gladys, Gertrude, Mabel, Matilda, Pearl & Walter

I love having chicks, but it’s always great when we can get them out of the basement 😅

Us over here at Ebony Acres: 3 day weekend….Looks like we’re rebuilding the chicken run since we’ll have time!
In all seriousness this is very exciting. When we first got chickens we kind of made it up as we went. It worked. Now that we’re a few years in and have 10 chicks that will be going outside in a few short weeks, we decided it was time to really build a chicken run that is more permanent. Also, it’s going to have a roof!
NONE of this would be possible without Chris’s brain and ingenuity. 💕 Stay posted to see the final product and updates on the chicks 🐥
P.S. Don’t mind all the random stuff. It’s spring cleanup time 😊
