A couple days ago, one of the other roosters (we have way too many!) was accidentally released to free range with my little rehab rooster. Yes, he eventually found his way back to his coop and his ladies—but by the time Dale got a few miles back to the house to lock him up, he had already gotten to my rehab turkey and done this. I am heartbroken and furious, but he’s on the mend once again. ❤️

I don’t tolerate mean animals. We work hard to keep harmony out here, and these three were disrupting that balance. More so, the two adolescent tom turkeys had started attacking both Dale and me anytime we went outside or to the barn.

All three went to freezer camp today. They were good size for being 6 months old! Peace has been restored, and moments like this remind us why we do this together as a family.

We are getting some pretty eggs right now with the weather being nice too!
