One of our rescued donkeys, Gigi, is still very leery around people, so to get her feet done we have to have our vet and farrier come out and work as a team. The vet lightly sedates and monitors, while our farrier calmly trims. It works like a charm! Gigi now has nicely trimmed feet and feels great ♥️

Horses remind me of raising little toddlers… The girls can be sweet and spicy, and the boys keep life interesting with their antics 🤣

A heat index of 106* means that even the barn cats come indoors 😉

This is Nut, aka Nutmeg. She’s a long haired torte. A few months ago she ate a “bad” mouse, i.e - a mouse that was loaded with bacteria and she got TERRIBLY sick. Without medical intervention we would have lost her. Thankfully we have an incredible small animal vet and after multiple visits, and several weeks of recovery, she’s 💯 back to normal. She’s also very thankful to come indoors when it’s this hot 🥵

One more praise for our equine vet… she called to check on Sapphire on her day off because she “couldn’t stop thinking about her.”
