Help Us Keep the Colorado Farm & Art Market Thriving 🌿

The Colorado Farm & Art Market is a true community-powered cooperative market — and that means it only continues to grow because people step forward to help make it happen.

We are currently looking for volunteers for BOTH of our weekly markets to help support:
✨ The Information Booth
✨ Children’s Activities Area🌿

This market is 100% Colorado, 100% of the time — built by local farmers, artists, makers, volunteers, and community members who believe in creating something meaningful together. Supporting the market doesn’t always have to mean selling. Sometimes it means helping welcome guests, answering questions, guiding families, or helping create a warm and safe environment for our youngest market visitors.

If you’ve been looking for a way to get more involved in your local community, this is a beautiful way to support a market that gives so much back to Colorado small businesses and growers. 🌻

Let’s talk about something that can feel confusing at first:

How much beef does a family actually need? The good news?
It’s a LOT simpler than you think — and no, you don’t need a row of freezers in your garage like I have.

Let’s break this down in a budget-friendly, busy-mom kind of way.

👉 Quick Family Formula
Plan for 20–25 lbs of beef per person, per year.
That’s it.

Here’s what that looks like:
- Couple (2 adults): 1/16 or 1/8 share
- Family of 3–4: 1/8 or 1/4 share
- Larger families or athletes: 1/4 or 1/2
- Families who cook almost daily: 1/2 or whole

👉 What Each Share Includes
All shares (except halves/wholes) follow our standard cut list, so you get a mix of:
- ground beef (your workhorse!)
- steaks
- roasts
- a few specialty cuts
This keeps pricing simple and predictable.

❗If you want full customization → choose half or whole.
And remember:

Customization forms are due by December 28, 2025!
👉 Freezer Space Cheat Sheet
1/16 share: 4–5 gallons freezer space (2–3 grocery bags)

1/8 share: ~½ of a top freezer if you have a fridge/freezer combo ⅓ of a small chest freezer

1/4 share: ~½ of a small chest freezer or upright freezer (2.5 of those butcher boxes pictured above)

1/2 share: most of a small chest [5–9ft³] freezer

Whole: most of a large chest [17ftÂł +] freezer

If your freezer currently just has freezer pops and a few mystery containers 😉 … you’ve got space.

👉 The Budget Breakdown (why bulk saves you money)
Buying beef this way gives families:
- lower cost per pound
- a stocked freezer that lasts months
- fewer emergency grocery trips
- simpler meal planning
- fewer wasted ingredients

This is why busy, budget-conscious families love bulk beef — it stretches farther than anything else in your kitchen.

If you want help choosing a size, message with: “Share size help”
and tell me how many people you’re feeding.
