Gorum-Key Hill

Gorum-Key Hill This home was built in 1963 by Eddie Lee Gorum Sr. and Sue Dorris Mayes Gorum. They also put in a mobile home for Sue's mother, Mama Mayes.

Eddie Gorum and his wife Sue built their home here in 1963 with their own 2 hands, the story goes that walls were put up and taken down almost daily because they couldn't agree on a floor plan. Eddie and Sue's eldest daughter, Gloria, and her family also occupied that mobile home for a short time. The only child still living with them they moved into this home was their youngest Lee. Lee married R

ebecca Hale in 1976 and moved her to the old homestead, where they had Krisi (79) & Raeni (80). Both girls lived at home until they were about 18 years old. Raeni married and moved to Texas while Krisi stayed in West Monroe. Krisi moved back to Gorum Hill in 2003 with her family which is when the hill took on the "-Key" part of its name. Eddie Gorum still lives on Gorum-Key Hill, Sue passed away in 2004, along with his son & daughter-in-law, and his granddaughter and 2 great-granddaughters. Gorum-Key hill used to be the host of the biggest and best family Christmas parties and 4th of July BBQ's and swimming parties. Krisi still hosts parties for friends and family, watch for your fb invite!!
