My Birria Chicken Tostadas 🌮🔥

Okay, these were definitely a little messy to eat, but honestly… so worth it! They came out super flavorful, loaded with toppings, and everybody knows the messier the tostada, the better it tastes. 😂🔥

How I Made My Birria Chicken

I used a couple of different dried chilies along with cumin, oregano, salt, onion, garlic, chicken stock, and a little chicken bouillon.

First, I boiled my chilies until they got nice and soft. Then I blended them up with the rest of my ingredients until everything was smooth. I strained the sauce because I wanted that consommé nice and smooth.

Once my sauce was ready, I added in 6 chicken thighs and let them simmer until the chicken was tender and full of all that flavor.

After letting the chicken cool down a little bit, I shredded it all up. And of course, I had to add a little 1971 Hook 🥊🔥 to the consommé for some extra flavor and heat!

Building My Tostadas

I started with a crunchy tostada shell and layered on:

* Pinto beans
* My shredded birria chicken
* Lettuce
* Queso fresco
* Pico de gallo
* Avocado
* Crema
* And, of course, a little more 1971 Hook 🥊🔥

Pile everything on, take a bite, and don’t worry about the mess! 😂 These tostadas were hot, messy, flavorful, and seriously delicious! 🌮🔥
