After a lot of reflection, we’re so sad to share that our lavender field did not survive the winter this year — including the 100+ new plants we recently planted with so much hope for the future.
What started as a small and unexpected hobby 8 years ago became something far bigger than we ever imagined. The lavender brought us friendships, memories, community, and so many special moments with all of you. We’ve loved sharing this little piece of our family with others and watching people enjoy the beauty and peace the farm offered.
But lavender farming is still farming — and it’s hard work 3 out of the 4 seasons of the year. Over the past few years, we’ve watched many other regional lavender farms experience the same heartbreaking losses, and unfortunately we’ve reached the point where we know it’s time for us to move on to our next adventure. Lavender is simply too difficult to grow consistently in our area.
While this chapter is coming to a close, we are incredibly grateful for every person who visited the farm, picked lavender, took photos, supported our shop, or simply encouraged us along the way. You helped make this journey unforgettable for our family.
We do still have many lavender products prepared for this season, and we’d love to see everyone one more time. We’ll open our farm shop on June 20 from 9am–2pm for shopping, lavender lemonade, and great discounts on many of our products.
For anyone who purchased tickets for this season, refunds will be issued automatically.
Thank you for loving lavender with us these past 8 years. 💜
