Knights Bridge Winery

Knights Bridge Winery Please drink responsibly.

We are guided by a commitment to excellence, a deep respect for nature, a love of wine and food, and a desire to share the remarkable beauty of Knights Bridge vineyard. In 2006, Jim Bailey purchased an 83-acre parcel of land with hillside vineyards in Knights Valley, the perfect spot to produce exceptional Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Along with his brother Essel Bailey, and

longtime friend Tom Costin, he began his journey into wine and founded Knights Bridge with the singular goal of producing world-class wines. Understanding that great wine starts in the vineyard, the team dedicated themselves to analyzing each vineyard block for perfect synergy between specific soils, varieties, and clones. They adopted new, sustainable vineyard management techniques, replanted portions of the estate, and hired a team of seasoned professionals who shared their ambition to produce the best wines possible. This year, Jim embarked on a long-awaited project to build a small winery on the estate, which will be completed in mid-2021.

Seared ribeye, deeply caramelized and finished with butter, garlic, and thyme. 🥩🍷 Estate Chef Justin Wangler pairs it with broccolini and peppery greens for a plate that feels composed, not complicated. The Haggerty Road Red Blend shows ripe black fruit, a hint of spice, and structured tannins that carry through each bite. Make it at https://bit.ly/3Oln3aQ

There’s something about spring that calls for simplicity done well and where every in-season ingredient has its moment.

Sweet strawberries, crisp peas, and fresh mint layered over tender greens, finished with a touch of feta for balance. 🍓🌿 Estate Chef Justin Wangler brings it all to life with a bright, tangy Dijon vinaigrette that is clean, vibrant, and effortlessly composed.

Best enjoyed with a chilled glass of Fairview Sauvignon Blanc.

Spring at Knights Bridge Winery unfolds with quiet intensity. Brilliant stretches of sun give way to cooling rains, each shift shaping the season ahead. In the organically farmed West Block vineyard, tender new shoots reach skyward, as the vines move through budbreak into early growth. In late June, our vineyard team will form the canes into a distinctive tulip-shaped canopy to gently shelter the clusters that will become the 2026 vintage.

Sustainability at Knights Bridge is a way of farming, a way of building, and a way of thinking that reaches far beyond any one season. It asks us to consider not just what we take from this land, but what we leave behind for those who will tend it long after us.

Since 2006, we have farmed this estate with growing intention and curiosity, learning year after year how to better listen to the vines, the soil, and the rhythm of the valley itself. In 2024, we became certified organic through CCOF, a meaningful milestone, but more importantly, a reflection of a much longer journey already underway.

Nearly a third of the estate remains wild and unplanted, a living landscape of native grasses, trees, and wildlife. Beneath the surface, a vibrant microbial world connects everything. Through regenerative farming, we now help sequester approximately 6,000 tons of CO₂ each year, while carefully managing water, canopy, and soil health with precision and restraint.

Even our winery, built largely underground, reflects this same philosophy: to work with the land, not against it.

This is stewardship for the long view. And it is work we are honored to continue.
