Before bud break comes the behind-the-scenes work that sets the whole season up.

Each year, our vineyard team at Pina Vineyard Management LLC prunes with intention to keep the vines healthy, balanced, and ready for spring. Using techniques like a hybrid-cane system to help vines ripen fruit more evenly, and performing Eutypa surgery to remove old, unproductive wood and train in new healthy canes.

It’s careful work now that helps set the stage for the vintage ahead.
