Last weekend, one of our newest team members, Vivian, represented LOLA at Villa CA'TOGA! ✨️ An homage to Palladio, Veronese, and Venetian culture, this palatial retreat is the residence and studio of Italian-born artist and muralist Carlo Marchiori. This fundraiser, hosted by and benefitting the Calistoga Art Center, offered guests the opportunity to experience this unique landmark whose artistic interiors and magnificent gardens are truly a feast for the senses. It was a joy to support the Calistoga Art Center, which continues to enrich the arts in the Napa Valley through education, experience, awareness, and involvement! πŸ’›

We’re overjoyed to share some very exciting news: our first vintage of Vermentino has been harvested! Ever since we started making bottarga with our sister company Cortez Conservas in 2007, we've been inspired by the traditions of Sardinia, where both bottarga and Vermentino originate.

For us, Vermentino is the perfect accompaniment to bottarga. Its bright, crisp character embodies delicate notes of citrus and just a touch of minerality, while beautifully enhancing the rich, briny flavors of this cured fish roe. This pairing captures the essence of Sardinia β€” sea, sun, and shared table. That connection has been our driving force, and why creating Vermentino has always been a part of our greater vision.

Planted organically in St. Helena alongside a few rows of Fiano, our Vermentino tells a story of place; grown under the California sun, inspired by Sardinian tradition. This wine is more than just a new addition; it's the preservation of an age-old pairing that we've long loved.

Our Vermentino will be ready for you by spring 2025. This wine represents our dedication to and love for approachable, vibrant wines that connect people through time, tradition, history, and culture.
