| 21+ only Larkmead Vineyards is one of the oldest family-owned wineries in Napa Valley.

Originally founded in 1895,the Larkmead estate has been under the stewardship of the Solari-Baker family since 1948. Since that time, the family has steadily farmed, replanted, and nurtured the 115-acre vineyard to produce some of the most recognized wines from Napa Valley. In support of Larkmead’s winemaking history, modern facilities were built in 2004, and expanded in 2014, utilizing state of the art equipment and design. Over the past 20 years, Larkmead has focused on Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet-based blends. In this time, Larkmead wines have garnered over 140 scores of 95 points and above – two of which earned a perfect 100-point rating – a testament to the brilliance and quality of the vineyard and winemaking, and the dedication of the Solari-Baker family’s pursuit of excellence.

This Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor the Wappo people, whose ancestral ties to this valley span millennia and continue today.

These pieces of obsidian were found in our vineyard near the Napa River, a tangible reminder of the Wappo people’s enduring history and connection to this land, long before vineyards covered Napa Valley.

We are the quiet, current caretakers of this land, with a responsibility to care for its soil, water, and living ecosystems while honoring all those who have lived in relationship with and cared for this place before us.

Crafted only in vintages worthy of The Lark name, the 2023 release marks its return for the first time since 2019—a singular expression of our estate.

“For a taste of Napa with nearly a decade already behind it,” Fabulous California recommends our library 2017 Solari Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, with notes of “violet, cassis, and dried herbs... joined by black cherry, plum, bittersweet chocolate, and crushed rock.”

We periodically open our library to offer w**e lovers the opportunity to experience Larkmead w**es with the benefit of age. The 2017 Solari is showing beautifully now, with nearly a decade of evolution in the bottle.
