Daphne and Bart Araujo purchased the vineyard in 1990, built the winery, dug the caves, and weighed every move for the next 23 years according to soil health and wine quality concerns. Their unwavering attention to detail was rewarded in 2013 with an unsolicited purchase offer from the Pinault family, owners of Chateau Latour. The 2012 Cabernet may be the first 100% varietal wine released to date - and from the few, finest --blocks of the Eisele Vineyard....
