The lovely Razzy, our newer stallion. We got him last July and he was WILD! His previous owners were elderly and had owned him his whole life. He had become a bully though, and was starting to be dangerous, so we added him to our little herd and have been teaching him some manners. Yesterday he got his very first bath - at 12 years old! You can tell by all the dirt on my mat, there was a lot of dancing, but no kicking, so I was happy! Razzy got a boatload of carrots so he was pretty happy too.

SKC Pony Collection had a pony sell for $79,000 at the Cowgirl Cadillacs sale yesterday! Can’t afford an $80,000 made pony? (me neither 😅) Buy yourself an affordable weanling and make your own!
Pictured here is Roany Pony Farm’s brood mare Valentine and her blue roan c**t from last year. This June, she will produce a black and white tobiano foal that will mature around 40 inches. Our ponies are people friendly, but treated like horses.

Amazing what a day, a haircut, and a better angle can do! A cute outfit doesn’t hurt either. Princess on Tuesday versus Princess on Wednesday is like two different ponies. My mom visited a few weeks ago and had to be convinced that the gray Yeti was indeed her. 😆

House Horse. Ranger is allowed in when he wants, which is ALL THE TIME. So far no accidents. This little video was yesterday when I was moving boxes into the new house. Some kids had just gotten off the school bus and were HORRIFIED to see a pony follow me through the front door. They just stood staring until one finally shouted, “Why do you have a horse in your house?!” And I yelled back, “Why DON’T you have a horse in your house?” And that friends, is how you certify your status as the “Crazy Pony Lady”.

Each braid is a 3 strand braid that adds hair from the sides. The difference is the French braid crosses OVER the middle strand while the Dutch braid crosses UNDER the middle strand.

“Pink goes good with green” 🩷💚 I tacked up my ponies in “Wicked for Good” inspired tack sets. I made them for Halloween, but my phone died and I couldn’t take any photos until now. But, this week the new Wicked movie is being heavily promoted in the U.S., so the theme is not a complete loss!
Princess is a silver dapple miniature horse and in the pink western bling tack set. Valentine is a solid black Shetland pony and got the green matchy matchy English tack set. Princess is my usual braid and tack model and used to whatever weirdness I ask of her, but Valentine was abused in her past and I don’t ask her for much yet. I was so happy she tolerated this!
Especially since these two have always HATED each other. Squealing, kicking, biting….they always have to be separated by a fence and sometimes that doesn’t seem like enough! But, somehow I managed to tack and braid them both without incident. Even got a few photos of them together!
So they are friends now??? Maybe it was the cute outfits putting them in a good mood. Maybe it was the good behavior snacks flowing freely….

Throwback to a few years ago when I had more time! Fall and Halloween, especially, is my favorite time of year. I usually make several Halloween themed tack sets, but this year it will just be the one next week. I hope I don’t blow it! 🎃
