Yesterday we went to the Best of the Midwest Hereford sale. 52 lots and every single one would be a good foundation animal. We came home with a cow/calf pair and we'll know in a few weeks if she's bred again.

Meet LHF ERL 309 J Monique 462M. "Monique." She's a two year old first calf cow. She settled in well, likes the barn, and is very curious about us.

And her calf LHF ERL L319 Porsche 637P
"Porsche." She's 3 months old and spunky.

For many years Leroy has looked at these, this fall we found a manufacturer and they completed it to our design right as we got our big snow. Last night we got a text that the delivery schedule opened up today, the delivery time was late enough to fit into his day. I cut a few branches this afternoon to make sure we had enough clearance and he got here just in time for it to hit the ground. The pasture was exactly right for the truck to get in and out with no tracks, a big concern with temperature near 50° today. Progress continues, we want everything ready before we bring animals back in.
