Fill your freezer with high quality beef!

Buying in bulk avoids the constant price changes happening in store. When you head to big box stores to purchase beef you’ll pay marked up prices for low quality options. Buying in bulk will get you premium cuts that we will customize to your needs. Give yourself the peace of mind that you have local beef on hand to feed your family.

This is premium beef at a great discount. Here’s the deal 💰:

• GrassPlus 1/2 beef = $6.75/lb hanging weight

• Montshire Butchery 1/2 beef = $6.25/lb hanging weight

Same price for whole beef by purchasing two halves— Don’t need a whole or half? Split it with friends or family!

Come along for a walk through our Montshire Packing facility, where we process our locally raised cattle and prepare our beef for customers throughout New England.

As farmers, we know producing high quality GrassPlus beef doesn’t stop in the pasture. We look at how our cattle is raised all the way to the end when the meat is brought to processing because every step matters.

Owning and operating our own processing facility is very important to us and we quickly realized it was the piece we’d been missing for many years. We can now control quality from start to finish and we’re very proud of the care that goes into every cut. 🥩

Morning chores ✅

Even in the coldest months, our cattle have fresh feed, clean shelter, and daily care. Good beef starts long before it reaches your plate.

Happy New Year from our herd 🎊🐄

2025 Corn Harvest Complete 🌽

We’ve been hard at work here at the farm harvesting corn, and we have officially wrapped up this seasons haul. 🚜 Roughly 200 acres of corn planted, leaves us with some happy + well fed cattle.

😍

Buying local is my priority and, none of the Beef I sell has been Graded, (prime choice, etc.) But that doesn't stop it from looking like this.

A Glimpse at Our Story

Boyden Farm is owned and operated by Mark Boyden, a fifth-generation Boyden. In 2000 Mark brought the farm in a new direction, transitioning from dairy to beef. Mark, a 1988 graduate from The University of Vermont with a degree in Agriculture, had to learn the business end of raising cattle as this was very different from producing dairy. The Boydens’ beef business is everchanging and evolving but Mark has put passion and focus on producing beef only from cattle that are grass-fed and grain-finished. Mark strives at providing his customers with the best quality of Vermont born and raised beef by working with neighboring family farms and a family-owned butcher shop.

Boyden Farm is considered home to many. Mark’s brother David owns and operates Boyden Valley Winery from the same property. Mark’s wife Lauri operates The Barn at Boyden Farm, a space for special events which is renovated from the family’s original 1914 hayloft. Mark and Lauri also live on the farm where they have raised their three daughters; Emily, Lucy, and Rachel.

Boyden Farm Beef can be found at select retailers.
