Sky Chief Springs

Sky Chief Springs Welcome to historic Sky Chief Springs! Check out my main page, Starflower Botanicals, for more herbal information!

This beautiful 28 acres homestead in Southwest Nebraska with natural springs, giant cottonwoods, native prairie bluffs, and herbal gardens. The Brubacher family purchased Sky Chief Springs in September 2021. Follow our journey as the new caretakers of this truly special community place. Named after Sky Chief of the Pawnee Nation, this was a camp ground for the Pawnee during their summer buffalo hu

nts. A granite memorial was dedicated to Sky Chief in 1924 that still exists beside one of the springs. The history as a community space continued after the Pawnee were relocated to a reservation in Oklahoma. White settlers first arriving in the Cambridge area would camp by the springs while they prepared their new homes. Before a local Catholic church was built the priest would travel to the area and perform weddings and baptisms on these grounds. In the 1920's it was a filling station will fresh spring water for drinking and filling canvas bags hung on the sides of vehicles to keep cool. Since then this land has hosted a skating and dance pavilion, Cambridge's first golf course, ponds for fishing, pumpkin patches for the local children, and so much more. We plan to continue the tradition of celebrating community in this place. We are cleaning up the property and establishing new vegetable and herbal gardens. Sara will soon be working with clients to support their health as part of her clinical herbalist business, Starflower Botanicals. And we have so many dreams and ideas for the future! Thank you for joining us!

This Monday, March 16, join me to discover ways to support your digestive health through herbs, food, and practical lifestyle changes!

We will discuss
> why Americans suffer from so many digestive ills
> how the digestive system works and common problems in each area
> how to identify if you're struggling with cold slow digestion or hot inflamed digestion and how to balance it out
> common digestive problems and supportive herbs and food

Digestion woes are my specialty and I'm excited to be offering this class for the first time! Don't miss out.
