When Monte tells you our goal is to mimic bison moving across the land, shoulder to shoulder, this is what he’s talking about. They live and move as a herd and impact the soil in a positive way.

And here’s the result of the goats! Pretty fabulous.

This video was taken May 8th. Matthew moved the goats to an adjacent paddock about a week ago. Tomorrow I’ll post what it looks like today! Edible bramble for incredible goats!

Went out to the pasture to check cows this evening. In 1:36 my Marlin app identified these 8 bird species. I stopped because I saw a group of probably 30 of the same yellow bird all fluttering around together. But I’m not sure which one of these they were. They were either the Yellow-rumped Warblers or Goldfinch.
Pretty amazing the diversity we have attracted here by bringing livestock back! 😊

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” — Mahatma Gandhi

When you finally slow down long enough to really look around the farm, you see it. The soil getting richer, the animals thriving, the land healing. That’s the moment you know the words you’ve been preaching are actually matching the life you’re living.
We don’t just talk regenerative agriculture. We live it, every single day.

Some things are better naked. 😳
Like seed!
Seed is better planted naked without all the conventional seed treatments.
Contrary to what some believe…it can be done…because that’s how we do it. 😉

Chef Matthew has been foraging in the woods and tonight Robyn created a little throw down. Both used the same breading but used different frying options. Chef immersed his in a pot of hot Avacado oil and Robyn opted for the skillet and butter.
Sorry Chef but butter wins all the way around! 😂😂😂
