We also have apples, pears, peaches, plums, cherries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. At Gotta Getta Goat Farm our primary goal is to insure that all of our animals are given the love and care they deserve. We spend time with each of our animals every day to make sure we know their individual personalities and insure their health. Our second goal is to provide high quality, fun, farm f

resh items to the select group of people that appreciate the difference. Those items, to present, have included; multi-colored "Adirondack Mountain Eggs", Narragansett turkey eggs, farm fresh-free range-all natural holiday turkeys, 4 varieties of garlic and garlic scapes, potatoes, pumpkins, squash, apples, pears, plums, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and the highest quality 1st and 2nd cutting hay available. In 2017 we plan to start our goat milk and cheese production, with hand soaps and lotions coming online in 2018. We also plan to have a pick your own pumpkin patch, pick your own berry patch with raspberries, blackberries, black raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries. As well as pick your own apples, pears, peaches, plums, and cherries. Keep checking our page to see what's new on the farm.

A little Mother's Day surprise when we went up for chores yesterday morning.....we had made the assumption that Ritz wasn't pregnant despite the pregnancy test results. She wasn't showing at all. This little girl was curled up under the hay bunk.

2,500 garlic seeds nestled all in their rows, with a blanket of straw to keep them warm through the next 6 months. Couldn't have done it without the help of my father, who's always there when we need it most. And just in time too!!! Thanks dad!

Today is a very sad day here on the farm. We said goodbye to our beloved Asiago. Asi and his twin sister Dana Bleu were 2 of the first 3 goats to start our farm over 6 years ago. The size of his heart was evident right from the beginning. He grew quickly and with his size he took on the nickname "Moose" and took on the role of herd guardian without reservation.

He was a magnificent animal in everyway. He knew his name and would come running for a kiss over the fence whenever we called. He was definitely the herd clown, and could sense when someone needed their spirits lifted and cheer them up with his silly antics.

Just about a month ago something spooked him in the night and he put his head and a front leg through the glass window of his hut. It was over 13 hours before the vet could get here. He ended up cutting a crucial tendon in his leg, with several big cuts on his leg and above his eye. We stitched him up and gave him a splint. For the first week it looked as though he might recover, but over the last 3 weeks he had significant weight loss and decreased function in all of his legs while trying to compensate for his bum leg. It never broke his spirit, he continued to give kisses for snacks, and tried to perform his little antics like always.

On Monday it was evident that his injury was un-recoverable, and made the call we had hoped we wouldn't have to. He spent 30 minutes outside with the sun on his face both yesterday and today, getting lots of raisins, apples, maple leaves, and peanuts from all of us. Tonight, with the heaviest of hearts, we laid our sweet Asiago to rest at the end of our field that grew the hay he so loved to eat. Goodnight Moose. We love you so very much. You will be deeply missed.
