Happy birthday to my sweet, beautiful, wonderful, wee baby Alphonse! Today he turns 3️⃣💜 He is the goofiest, silliest, sweetest boy I could have been blessed with and I’m so happy he got his birthday treats 💜💜💜

On Thursday April 16th at 7:15 PM, Cleopatra made her final journey home. She was surrounded by all the people she loved in the ICU at AERC.

In these past several months, she had a very courageous battle with B cell lymphoma. At the beginning of last week, she developed pancreatitis and aspiration pneumonia. She fought so hard but in the end, three life threatening conditions proved too much for even the strongest girl I’ve ever known.

Cleopatra was the best livestock guardian and farm dog I could have been blessed with. She was fierce and loyal. She watched over everyone diligently and never stopped to rest, even when undergoing chemotherapy. It’s hard to imagine a future without her watching over the goats or Sophie. I know Adelaide will miss her permanent playmate and sister until they meet again.

Cleopatra will be laid to rest in a beautiful spot where all the animals from the farm go for their final place. She will be forever missed. 💜

Persephone looked so cute in her holiday photo today! She’s from Cleopatra and Alphonse. While she’s not a livestock guardian like her parents and some siblings, she works hard to guard her house from delivery drivers, neighborhood squirrels, and occasionally her families plants. 🪴

Cleopatra had 10 healthy puppies last night. These little cuties are all cleaned up, had their first meals and are settling into the outside world well. Cleopatra is doing amazing and taking such great care of them. 💜
