🫛Sugar Snap Pea season is here 🌱

Starting Sunday, May 24th from 9 AM–5 PM, you can head out to the fields for Sugar Snap Pea You-Pick at Center Grove Orchard.

Fun fact: Sugar snap peas thrive in cool Midwest spring weather, which makes Iowa one of the best places to grow them. They’re picked at the perfect stage when the pods are full, crisp, and sweet enough to eat right off the vine. Fresh-picked peas also start losing sweetness quickly after harvest, which is why they taste so much better straight from the field.

The start of strawberry season is always special around the farm, and sugar snap peas are one of the first signs of the growing season fully coming to life.
