Over the years I’ve have had many ask about barn quilts for sale and workshops for creating their own. This summer it’s happening! I’m trialing what patterns will work in for beginners in a one session class. A two session class opens up so many more possibilities.

What say you guys? The week of July 6 in the evening. Not sure what day(s) yet that week. Thinking 6-8 or 6:30-8:30 in the shaded greenhouse. One class or two for the same quilt. OR a set of three 🤔. Brainstorm with me in the comments.

💐I’m out most mornings, except Sundays. If you want to make sure I’m here, message or text. 💐Flower Shed has everything you need for picking—clippers, containers, water, cash box/venmo, instructions.
💐If I’m not out here, make yourself at home and self serve! Seriously! The flowers are for YOU! (Even if you’ve never been here…the flowers are still grown for YOU!)

💐Reach out for groups and I’ll set up tables and supplies just for you!

Every year is different out here, but this one feels extra sweet ❤️. U-pick opens Friday. Full bloom starts in a couple weeks but there’s something really special about June blooms 💐. U-pick is open daily. If I’m not out here, self serve. 🥰

This is for all my friends who love dried texture-y things. Go outside this week and cut bunches of grass and weeds that are putting on heads. Lay the cuttings flat in your garage or set them in a crock upright inside and let them dry. Leave them in your crock, place them in a basket, save them for a craft…. You won’t be sorry 🌾

My 9 year old said “How did that one get so perfect?” I agreed and snapped a picture. He carried the bloom to the house.

I come here to post the picture and start thinking about every imperfection I see once I upload it to Facebook.
A couple torn petals.
Dirt.
A few bugs.
The pureness of color lost.
A flower that doesn’t look as perfect as in person.

I almost didn’t share this picture. I wanted to share perfection.

Why do we do that to ourselves? Why is social media about the best and the worst?

When do we stop seeing things through the eyes of a child?

This picture represents my boy, 9 years old, who saw the beauty of God and the wonder of His creation.

He helped me see that “perfect” can come with a few blemishes.
