‘Tis the day for our 5,000 stem picking for Miami University freshman! Tomorrow we head to campus as part of Welcome Weekend.

This does mean the field will be open this weekend and you’ll be able to find blooms, but will need a few days to really recover to top performance.

There is a reason I was quiet for the last week and a half. Visiting Glacier, Yellowstone and Tetons was a five year plan and we made it happen. A lot of the trip was keeping four boys alive on the side of mountains, near waterfalls and hot springs and from dropping large rocks on their toes. I never feared we would surprise wildlife on trails. 🙃
Our adventure was grand, but it is nice to be home. Sunflowers are popping in every color and everything is well watered 🙌🫣. (If you aren’t local, we received a huge amount of rain last week and another 2.25” last night.) This will keep everything going strong in September!!!
