I just picked some wild blackberries. They are in abundance this year and will be picking daily for the next 7-10 days. I wanted to share a hack that saved my hands from the briar gouges. I put my latex baking glove on my non dominant hand to pull the briars closer to me and picked with my other hand. This worked great. About 1 quart for 1/2 hours work. I am going to make livieto madre cinnamon buns Sunday and top with jellied blackberries and glaze.

Grinding some rye today. About 5 lbs to make sourdough rye bread Tuesday. Fresh found flour brings the flavor to the next level. Anyone want to order a loaf? Drlinda Faber

I have an abundance of basil and saw some cool ways to preserve the harvest on TT. First, is dehydrated with salt and second was whipped buttter with basil. After the butter chills I will cut into patties. Drlinda Faber

Pond update. I was sitting last evening by the pond listening to the water. 💦 I heard some loud, throaty chirps. I walked toward the sound with my phone flashlight and discovered this guy. He is a northeastern tree frog. I heard another one about six feet away. So now I am up to 4 frogs, more may be lurking. My camera takes awesome nighttime shots. A big noise for such a little guy.
