𝕎𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕚𝕤 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕗𝕒𝕧𝕠𝕣𝕚𝕥𝕖 𝕣𝕒𝕚𝕟𝕪 𝕕𝕒𝕪 𝕒𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕧𝕚𝕥𝕪??

Onward and making our way through Maine. We happened on this cute coastal town called Camden. Who am I kidding? All the towns are cute!

We woke to a rainy day, but that wasn't going to keep us from exploring. We strolled through the Harbor Park and Amphitheater and along all the shops, which the town is known for. Camden is known for locally owned shops where you can find anything you want or need. The drizzle continued.

𝕄𝕪 𝕒𝕟𝕤𝕨𝕖𝕣 𝕥𝕠 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕣𝕒𝕚𝕟? 𝕃𝕖𝕥'𝕤 𝕖𝕒𝕥!

We found our way to waterside dining at Peter Otts on the water . The chef and owner is a New Englander through and through. He found his way back to the area to carry on the culinary tradition of his father. The location is lovely along the marina watching the sailboats move in and out. The food and service is lovely, as well. Despite the ongoing staffing issues of the nation's service industry, we received quality and efficient service! I highly recommend it.

𝑅𝑜𝓁𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓉𝒽𝓇𝑜𝓊𝑔𝒽 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓀.

𝐿𝑜𝒷𝓈𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝑅𝑜𝓁𝓁𝓈 are basically a way of life in New England. Apparently, there's a great debate on mayo vs butter/ cold vs hot. Whatever your opinion is, they make them extra delicious in Maine!

We stumbled upon The Gallery Restaurant and Cocktail Bar in Winter Harbor, a town North of Bar Harbor. It is a new, hip space created in a building from the 1920s. It's name is a nod to the past owners who were artists and curated a gallery in the space. You can spot much of the original finishes with updated touches. It's such a cool place!

The food and drink loving couple, Maren & Troy, who own the place now, are set on serving exquisite creations! They have a slew of hand-crafted cocktails and mocktails, for the non drinkers, with fun, quarky names & house squeezed juices! The food menu changes often and is packed with delicious food of local fare!

This restaurant is an absolute gem! If you're ever in the area, be sure to stop in and stay a while. The ambiance is chic, inviting, and fun!

𝕋𝕚𝕞𝕖 𝕒𝕨𝕒𝕪 𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙 𝕞𝕪 𝕄𝕒𝕚𝕟𝕖 𝕤𝕢𝕦𝕖𝕖𝕫𝕖!
Follow this week to experience our travel and eats through New England!

Have you ever been to Maine? It was my first visit and it was such an extraordinary adventure! The weather is cool and so are the people.

We began our excursion in Booth Bay Harbor to escape the Florida heat as we prepare to welcome our first babe. We found this amazing waterside inn that has recently been renovated and is so well kept by a hands-on inn keeper, Dora. The chef, also wears many hats when not running the kitchen. Everyone is so kind and attentive that we immediately felt at home.

Each morning we sauntered to the dining room at Smuggler's Cove Oceanfront Inn for a full breakfast, included in our stay, which changed daily. After spending the day reading, exploring, and relaxing, you can enjoy the happy hour on the deck. Make a choice from the menu of local fare at the @727 ocean sunset bar and you will have a taste of the bay.

Maine proved to be full of my favorite things: seafood, landscapes, sunsets, and smiles!

🅾🅷 🆂🅰🆅🅰🅽🅽🅰🅷! Yσυɾ ϝσσԃ ɱαƙҽʂ ɱҽ ʂɱιʅҽ!

The mention of Low Country Boil makes my mouth water! At Sαʋαɳɳαԋ Sҽαϝσσԃ Sԋαƈƙ the aim is delicious seafood served at an affordable price daily. When you enter, you will be warmly welcomed and eagerly guided through the options of boils, seafood cones, and sandwiches. So many options to choose from! The occupancy of every table confirms the food is tasty!

The co-owner's family has been in the seafood industry for almost 30 years. Their greatest desire is to make their place a regular treat, not just a place you afford for special occasions. Here you will find counter ordering, but the service won't stop there! The staff is extremely attentive, keeping an eye on your drink level and your need for anything more.

Being born and raised along the coast of Houston, Texas, I am no stranger to seafood. Whether it be a crayfish, crab, or seafod boil, or a good old fish fry, I love it all! I can affirm Savannah Seafood Shack will more than satisfy your seafood cravings! If there's a wait, trust me when I say it's worth the time!

ℝ𝕚𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕊𝕥𝕣𝕖𝕖𝕥 𝕊𝕨𝕖𝕖𝕥𝕤 𝕊𝕒𝕧𝕒𝕟𝕟𝕒𝕙 is a dream come true for those craving a sweet treat. It is a family owned business creating everything from chocolates to baked goods, and everything in between. River Street Sweets • Savannah's Candy Kitchen has been a Savannah staple since the 70s, where you can find them located along the downtown waterfront. This shop is a perfect pit stop as you stroll the river!

When it's Taco Tuesday and your friends at El Melvin Sarasota are serving up their new drenched, and delicious ʙɪʀʀɪᴀ ᴛᴀᴄᴏꜱ! ➡️Check out that consumme drip! 😍

This farm to table restaurant on Main Street is a must visit in Downtown Sarasota. The food is fresh and the ambiance is lively. They have music regularly, and it's so energizing that people cannot help but dance!

Stop in for a bite and a freshly squeezed margarita, and stay for a dance or two! 💃

𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭, 𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭!

Having a midweek outing for a great breakfast is a nice treat. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐧 has been a perfect choice for such a treat since 1998. It's the sort of place that makes you feel cozy and at home from the moment you enter. You will be served a homemade breakfast or lunch expediently, yet never feel rushed.

Katie, our wonderful server, assured me that ordering a cookie 𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐢𝐠 𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 before noon is not bad. I enjoyed every bite of it and am planning my next trip back to The Serving Spoon for another!

Dɾҽαɱιɳɠ σϝ Ⴆҽιɳɠ ιɳ Pαɾιʂ?

Is it just me, or does travel seem like a distant dream? We have been on one road trip so far, but a European vacation is calling my name. And the beloved parisian experience is particularly one I crave.

Lucky for us, in Sarasota we can have the look and feel of Paris without getting on a plane! Dɾҽαɱʂ ƈσɱҽ ƚɾυҽ ιɳ Dσɯɳƚσɯɳ Sαɾαʂσƚα. The fabulous C'est La Vie is one of our absolute favorite places for al fresco daytime dining. I'm here to tell you, they now serve dinner on the weekends!

Everything about this locale whisks me away to one of the most incredible cities on the planet. From their furniture, to French accents, to divine French cuisine, you will surely love it too.

Be sure to treat yourself to one of the vast array of fresh pastries and desserts they have been creating for decades! There is truly something for everyone AND they are made daily. Trust me when I say, these delicacies will bring you joy. They can't even be passed up by my anti-sweets husband!

ℕ𝕒-𝕔𝕙𝕠 𝕒𝕧𝕖𝕣𝕒𝕘𝕖 𝕓𝕣𝕦𝕟𝕔𝕙!

I love weekend brunch! In fact, some may accuse me of living for it. I'm okay with that, because it's truly one of my favorite pastimes. Now bring me to the door of a Mexican restaurant at brunch time, and you will see a gal smile.

Downtown Sarasota had been starving for good Mexican food since I moved here in March 2017. When El Melvin Sarasota arrived on Main Street I was excited. In the Fall of 2019, El Melvin opened as an entrepreneurial venture and homage to the grandfather, Melvin, who introduced his family to this beautiful area thirty years ago.

El Melvin Cocina Mexicana boasts modern Mexican cuisine serving an upscale array of options, including vegan items. Everything in this large, vibrant, open-aired dining space is made with freshness and sustainability in mind. Fresh sauces, housemade juices, and hand squeezed margaritas are served in an invitingly energetic environment.

You will often hear live music pouring onto the patio from their open curtain windows and sliding doors. Sarasotans can now find a deliciously fun Mexican brunch on Main Street. This place is the real deal; complete with homemade habanero sauce for spice lovers. If you haven't been in, do yourself a favor and stop by!

𝙰 𝚐𝚘𝚘𝚍 𝚍𝚊𝚢 𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚛𝚝𝚜 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚊 𝚐𝚘𝚘𝚍 𝚋𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚔𝚏𝚊𝚜𝚝! 𝙰𝚍𝚍 𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚊 𝚏𝚛𝚒𝚎𝚗𝚍, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚊𝚛𝚛𝚒𝚟𝚎 𝚊𝚝 𝚊 𝚠𝚒𝚗𝚗𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚋𝚘.

There's nothing better than a homemade breakfast, except when someone else makes it. I have found one of the loveliest places for a home cooked meal along the North trail. It's unassumingly located next to an apartment complex with outdoor seating hidden behind trees.

Sunnyside Cafe has been serving meals made to order for a decade. You can find something for everyone on this menu, whether they are vegan, meat loving or anything in between. I'm not sure how I am just finding them, but I am so glad I did! Great service, delicious food, and reasonable prices make this place a perfect choice for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Stop in when you have the chance.
