We have a bevy of absolutely beautiful bouquets at the farmstand today. If you need some flowers on your table this weekend, these are the ones you want! Not flown in from another continent, not treated with toxic chemicals, grown less than a mile away with love, sweat and care. The first beds in our new field, planted out with baby Brussels sprouts and looking so nice and tidy as things do at this time of year. Brussels are slow growers, and will take their sweet time sizing up for Thanksgiving. Meanwhile, the deep compost much on the beds and wood chips in the paths will *help* fend off the weeds. This is one example of farming. We’re now a few years into a multi-year transition to no-till. It’s resource-intensive and not perfect, but we’ve been happy with the results.

A few new items now at the stand, with more arriving all the time. We’re thrilled to have organic eggs 🍳, gorgeous beeswax candles and gardener’s hand cream from , a selection of familiar and unusual beans from , a simply delicious new Maine kelp kimchi from , and last but certainly not least, cold-pressed sunflower oil (from Maine!!) by .

We are grateful to be able to offer an ever-expanding mix of high-quality, highly-local agricultural goods alongside our veggies here at the farmstand, and excited for the season ahead!

Happy spring, y’all! To celebrate, we got down to business with one of our favorite tasks - rolling and hauling giant pieces of plastic 🤗. But in all seriousness, we sure are excited about the additional field space being prepped underneath the tarps, which have been in place for about a year until they blew off in this week’s gale. Hopefully, this additional site will provide us with a little breathing room and the ability to rotate fields in and out of production.

Freshly harvested chard, collards & salad mix at the stand today, along with beautiful baby bok choi, herbs, celery and all the alliums (onions, garlic, shallots, leeks, scallions!). Last of the carrots (the few the deer left for us) & beets. Delicata squash & our first (delicious!) crop of sweet potatoes! And plenty of other odds & ends.

Open 11-3 today - then closing early for our long winter’s nap!
