It’s been a while and we have many new followers so we thought we’d introduce ourselves to our new followers and say hello to our faithful longtime friends.

We’re the Lochner family, and in 2022 we took a leap of faith and purchased what is now Lazy Fox Lavender Farm. Since then, we’ve been lovingly restoring the 1910 farmhouse and property, creating a place where people can slow down, gather, and make lasting memories.

Before putting down roots in Moore County, our family spent more than two decades moving around the world during Clem’s 21-year career in the United States Army Special Forces. Those years gave us the opportunity to experience different cultures, meet incredible people, and appreciate the beauty found in so many places. When it came time to settle down, Moore County was the perfect place.

I’m Lindsey, and I have the joy of planning the experiences you enjoy here—from U-Pick lavender days and afternoon teas to private celebrations and seasonal events.

Farmer Clem is the heart behind the scenes. Whether he’s tending the lavender fields, caring for our animals, restoring old buildings, or fixing whatever needs attention that day, he’s the steady hands that keep the farm moving forward.

Our children are an important part of the farm as well. You’ll often find them welcoming guests, serving at private events, helping in the gardens, caring for the animals, and pitching in wherever they’re needed. This truly is a family endeavor.

When we’re not at the farm, you’ll often find us serving handcrafted ice cream from our vintage 1971 Big Dipper NC truck at weddings, corporate events, and community gatherings across the Sandhills.

One of the greatest blessings of this journey has been the people we’ve met. Since opening our gates, we’ve welcomed guests from across the United States and from countries all over the world. Every conversation, every visit, and every shared memory has become part of the story of Lazy Fox.

I have decided that I will forever romanticize the ordinary.

The quiet mornings. Fresh-cut lavender. Dirt beneath my fingernails. Chickens wandering the yard. A breeze through the fields. The sound of bees at work. Golden light spilling across an old farmhouse.

These are the moments that remind me how kind God has been.

So much of life isn’t found in the extraordinary. It’s found in the ordinary moments we choose to notice.

This little farm has taught me that beauty is rarely loud. It whispers through creation, inviting us to slow down, to breathe deeply, and to give thanks.

I truly love this life God has given me.

As our 2026 lavender season comes to a close, our hearts are full of gratitude.

To every guest who wandered through the fields, attended afternoon tea, celebrated life’s special moments with us, shopped our little farm store, or simply stopped by to say hello—thank you. Your support has meant more than words can express.

To those who have watched Lazy Fox Lavender Farm grow year after year, thank you for believing in our dream. We are incredibly grateful for this wonderful community and for every person who chooses to support our small family farm.

While the lavender fields are now resting, we’re not saying goodbye for long.
