Thereā€™s just something about peafowl that has me completely OBSESSED.

The elegance, the genetics and their personalities are some of my favorite things. I also love that unlike other bird species, the hens can be just as showy and pretty as the males.

If I knew back then, what I know now.. Iā€™m afraid weā€™d have 300+ of these guys instead of chickens.

Apparently I have the patience of a toddler.

Edna, my sourdough starter, has officially come out of retirementā€¦ but sheā€™s taking her sweet time getting back into the groove. Since I couldnā€™t sit around waiting, I put all that sourdough discard to good use.

So instead of fresh bread, we now have sourdough discard chocolate chip gooey bars. šŸ«šŸ¤¤

Was this the original plan? Absolutely not.
Do I regret it? Also absolutely not.

Edna, you can take your time. Weā€™ll just keep stress-baking until youā€™re ready. These may have to jump on the farmers market menušŸ˜

Unfortunately, I woke up this morning feeling pretty under the weather, so I wonā€™t be at the Cameron Farmers & Makers Market today.

Out of respect for everyone, Iā€™d rather play it safe than risk sharing whatever Iā€™m coming down with.

The good news is weā€™re still offering delivery and porch pickup at the farm! If you need eggs, just send us a message and weā€™ll get your order ready.

Our very first ripe cherry tomatoes of the season made their debut todayā€¦ and wow, they did not disappoint! I can officially confirm they were absolutely DELICIOUS. Unfortunately, there were no survivorsā€”they never even made it to the house. Straight from the garden to our stomachs. Thatā€™s about as fresh as it gets! šŸŒ±šŸ…
