We built this deck about a year ago and wanted it to have that heavy, strong big-timber feel. So we milled up some hefty 2½” x 20” cedar on our own sawmill and paired it with 6x6 posts.
Still loving how it turned out! 🌲🔨

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now. We started planting our first Christmas trees over 20 years ago. Took a bare piece of land and created a mini forest. We practice stump culturing, which is a sustainable harvesting method. Many of the first trees we planted are still alive and thriving, even after being harvested multiple times.

Milled up some more 6x8s for a project. One of the hydraulic rams on the 4-in-1 needs new seals. We should probably get around to doing some maintenance.
