If your orchard was impacted by severe weather in April, make sure to apply for the PA Fruit Grower Freeze Assistance Grant. 🍒🍇

This grant program will provide $10 million to growers of specialty crops who suffered a 30% or greater loss in production due to a freeze that took place from April 1 to April 21.

Applications are due by September 21.

Share this with any fruit growers who may have suffered losses.

Pennsylvania Farm Bureau President Tommy Nagle commented today on Chobani's plan to open a dairy processing facility in the Lehigh Valley.

“Pennsylvania Farm Bureau is pleased to hear that Chobani will be opening a processing plant in Southeastern Pennsylvania. This plant will increase market access for our dairy farmers and will create 900 full-time jobs in the next five years.

We appreciate Gov. Josh Shapiro, Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding, Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Rick Siger and Department of Revenue Secretary Pat Browne for their efforts in securing this historic investment in Pennsylvania agriculture. We look forward to continuing to work with them to advance the state’s top industry.”

We were able to welcome the Pennsylvania FFA State Officer team to our Camp Hill office this week! 🔵🟡

We are happy to continue the annual tradition of hosting these young leaders and wish the best of luck to Levi, Nate, Garrett, Emma, Draven, Kayla, and Tanner.

We look forward to witnessing their journey through Pennsylvania agriculture over the coming year.

It's time to make your voice heard.

On Friday, President Trump announced plans to import an additional 300,000 metric tons of foreign beef to flood the U.S. market and undercut American farmers.

Inundating the market with this much foreign product will cause long-term damage to a domestic beef supply that is slowly beginning to recover from years of severe weather, rising input costs, and unsustainable market rates.

Instead of importing unreliable foreign product, the White House needs to focus on strengthening our own producers, ensuring that we have a safe and reliable food source for the future.

Pennsylvania Farm Bureau President Tommy Nagle commented today on President Trump’s plan to import an additional 300,000 metric tons of beef in addition to already record-high beef imports.

"Pennsylvania Farm Bureau is extremely disappointed to learn that President Trump plans to continue to flood the American market with hundreds of millions of pounds of imported beef. The United States is already importing beef at a record-high level and this action would increase imports an additional 60 percent over the next three months.

American farmers and ranchers have been working hard to rebuild American beef herds that had to be sold off due to drought. Despite high prices in the grocery stores, prices paid to farmers have fallen significantly over the last two months and beef packing plants are shutting down across the country. Continuing to increase the amount of foreign-raised beef to fix prices at the grocery store will wipe out progress that American farmers have made and make us more reliant on foreign countries, weakening our national food security in the long-term.

We appreciate President Trump’s goal of reducing grocery costs, but short-term measures will have long-term negative effects for consumers and for our family beef farms that are making decisions on whether to retain or expand their herds. We urge the president to strongly reconsider his plan.”
