We have some veggies today - salad mix, collard greens, kale, and green onions (aka scallions).

Chicken has been restocked! Once again we have Boneless/Skinless Breasts, Party Wings, and Thighs. Chicken Chorizo Sausage is back, too. If you like organ meats or like to feed them to your pets, we have Chicken Hearts and Livers also. We now have Chicken Tenders also!

Now that I'm no longer having to care for 350 chickens everyday, I can spend a little time in the kitchen again. We will have scones at the farm on Saturday, and since this is Memorial Day weekend, I am going with a red, white and blue theme. The flavors will be White Chocolate Cherry, Chocolate Chip and Blueberry. If you order in advance online, the deadline is end of day tomorrow (Thursday). If you choose the box of 6 assorted scones, just list the flavors you want in the comments section at checkout.

I will have extras on Saturday morning if you're not able to order ahead of time. Just make sure not to sleep in, because if you snooze, you might lose.

To check out what we have and place an online order, visit our website. You can always just stop by on Saturday to shop as well. We are open 9am until 1pm.

Happy Belated National Zucchini Bread Day!

The Little Rock Farm Store is open. Since it’s so cold outside this morning we have everything set up in the farmhouse. Remember, part of the sales from today go to support our local Special Olympics group.

Besides Zucchini Bread we have restocked our seasonings and soup mixes from Kelly’s Kitchen. She’s working on a new item - Skillet Meals. We have the first offering, Cheeseburger Mac!

We have spring candles too. Honeysuckle, Kiwi Lemongrass, Aloe Cucumber, and Lemon Cookie.

Our friends at Wildbloom loaded us up with los of goodies, too! Sourdough, focaccia, and bagels!

The Little Rock Farm Store is open until 1pm. See you at the farm!

There's a lot happening at Little Rock Farm on Saturday!

Zucchini Bread Day - 9am until 1pm
Zucchini Bread is what we're known for, so we always celebrate this national day (it really is a thing). Besides honoring the wonderful gift to the world that Zucchini Bread is, we also like to use this event as an opportunity to give to others. Part of the proceeds from Zucchini Bread Day will go to our local Campbell County Special Olympics. This is a great organization that provides those with special needs opportunities to be involved with sports and other recreational activities.

This week I'll be busy in the kitchen baking up a storm. There will be lots of flavors available. No pre-orders this time, so don't wait until the last minute to get to the farm. If you snooze, you lose.

Intentional Presence in Nature - 2pm until 4pm
This experience is all about taking time for relaxation and peace. Something that's difficult for most of us to do. It's not just about taking a hike or walk in nature, but more than that. It's about being still and present and mindful of our surroundings, how it makes us feel, finding connection to something bigger, noticing things around us that we never took time to see before.

This is a practice that I personally find so rewarding. Even when I'm back working in the pasture, I will stop and find a place to sit and take in my surroundings. It might only be for a few minutes, but it always feeds my soul.

My friend, Nancy Bloemer, will be leading us in this peaceful exercise. She is a fellow Camp Springs resident and a yoga and meditation teacher. Using the Hawaiian practice of Nalu, Nancy will guide us in being at peace with nature and ourselves . After a session with mindful meditation, we will go out into the pastures of Little Rock Farm to truly be in nature and explore the practices that Nancy will be sharing with the group.

The cost is $40 per person, paid at the day of the event. Reservations can be made via email, [email protected], but it's ok to show up without one. All are welcome!

WE ARE MOVING ZUCCHINI BREAD DAY TO MAY 2nd! Lots of things fell into my week (mostly dealing with chickens and the cold weather and getting them moved outside) which left very little time for baking bread. So, please join us the following Saturday to celebrate National Zucchini Bread Day. As always, part of the proceeds from this event are donated to the Campbell County chapter of Special Olympics.

The Farm Store will be open as usual this Saturday, but Zucchini Bread will not be until the following week, May 2nd, 9am until 1pm.

TOMORROW! Besides the usual Saturday Farm Store, we’re also having a yard sale. Rain or shine, we’ll be there, and we hope you stop by to visit us.

Our friends at Neltner Farm are also having a yard sale! Be sure to stop by both places. Even on a cloudy day, Camp Springs is still a pretty place to visit.

We’re open 9am until 1pm. See you at the farm!

We have a mystery chick in the flock. Cornish Rock Cross is the breed we raise for our meat birds. The chicks are just over a week old and their little white feathers are just beginning to show.

The other day when I was feeding, this little one caught my eye. Its feathers are coming in darker than everyone else’s. Pretty sure his egg was not in the right place when they all hatched. It is going to be fun to see what this one grows up to be.
