BRATS ON SALE! If you've never tried our brats before, this is the time to do so. Now through September 5th, you can get $1 off per package of our pork brats! Remember - we have three different flavors of brats to choose from.

Traditional - flavored the way most of us are familiar with.

Swiss Style - Seasoned with traditional bratwurst spices, but with an added hint of garlic and onion.

The gutter on the back of the farmhouse really needed to be cleaned out. After the storm on Tuesday, Joe decided to get it done real quick before the next round of rain came through. Imagine his surprise when he discovered this creature hiding among the leaves and debris! Remember that snake skin from a few days ago? Pretty sure it was from this guy/girl. There is a little gap where this gutter buts up against the front part of the house. We’re guessing it crawled out of the attic and into the gutter because it was trying to get back into that spot.

Joe was able to get it out of the gutter and into a bucket. We relocated it into the pasture where it can live its’ best snake life. Looks like the W**d Whacking Man just became a Snake Tamer.

Good morning! The Little Rock Farm Store is open. We have peaches 🍑 today! We do not grow tree fruits. These peaches come from Elmwood Stock Farm in Georgetown, and they are 100% percent organic. It’s nearly impossible to grow organic tree fruits in this area because the heat and humidity encourage damaging insects and diseases. Chemical treatments are the only way to protect the plants, and I don’t want to ingest chemicals and I don’t want to offer that to my customers. Elmwood partners with growers in Colorado who have the ideal climate for growing organic peaches. They are big, beautiful, juicy, and delicious! I eat at least one a day. My absolute favorite!

Fresh baked bread from our friends at Wildbloom.

Bi-color sweet corn raised by one of our farmer neighbors.

Organic veggies raised here at the farm.

Fresh eggs.

Honey, granola, protein balls, Elderberry Syrup, and other locally made goodies.

Our grass-fed beef, pastured chicken, and local pork.

Plus, whatever I forgot to mention.

Elvis is penned up under the barn because he needs a pedicure. I’ve tried several times over the past few weeks to get him to the barn, but he hasn’t been cooperative. The opportunity presented itself a few days ago, and I managed to get him in this open air spot under the barn. He’s not happy with me, but the calves are back there by him so he’s not completely alone. In fact, they’ve been very curious why Uncle Elvis gets so much special attention and why his hay looks a little nicer than theirs. They don’t understand what it means to be a celebrity.

An old farmhouse isn’t necessarily secure from small creatures or creatures that can fit through small spaces. Opened the cellar door and found this long snake skin laying on the steps. Hopefully he slithered up and out rather than down and in. 😳
