🎸🎤 1 PM – LIVE MUSIC & OPEN MIC WITH CHRIS GRIEVE!
Our resident musician is swapping his kitchen spatula back for his guitar! 🎸 (And frankly, after the last couple of weeks, he’s earned it!)
Come listen, sing along or grab the microphone and show us what you’ve got!

💉 FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16
💉 10 AM – WALGREENS SEASONAL VACCINATION CLINIC
An opportunity to take care of your health before the winter season!

🎉 FRIDAY FINALE — WE SURVIVED ANOTHER WEEK! 😂❤️

And what a week! Dust, drywall, delicious food and a healthy dose of organized chaos!

❄️ PROJECT HVAC — 99% COMPLETE!
All mini-splits are installed in The Refindery! Just some ceiling drywall repairs and one more kitchen vent to go — because keeping Alicia cool in the kitchen is essential. Nobody wants a hot chef… well, you know what I mean! 😂🔥

🛍️ REFINDERY RESCUE SQUAD!
Huge thanks to Renea, Debbie and Stephanie for fabulous sales AND restoring our sorting room to something resembling civilization! We can actually see the floor again! 😂👏

Meanwhile, Diane was commanding operations upstairs — shipshape and Bristol fashion! 🇬🇧

🎨 ROCK PAINTING — ROCK BOTTOM ATTENDANCE! 🪨
Not a single budding Picasso appeared for Laura from Accord Healthcare! Such a shame! Thanks for coming, Laura — apparently our rocks were more popular unpainted! 😂

🍽️ CHEF CHRIS STRIKES AGAIN!
Today’s culinary creations:

🥣 Smoked Pork & Onion Soup
🍗 Italian Chicken Casserole
🍎 Apple Cobbler & Ice Cream OR Lemon Cake 🍋

Scrumptious! And a HUGE thank you to Leann, our wonderful kitchen cavalry, for stepping in once again! ❤️

Chris and Leann return Monday, hopefully for their farewell performance before our lovely Alicia returns Tuesday, recovery permitting! 🤞❤️

And that, dear friends, is another week at The Center!

We’ve been cooking without our cook, cooling without our cooling, and sorting out the sorting room!

Somehow, it all works. Mostly. 😂

Thanks to our fabulous volunteers, staff and community for keeping this wonderfully mad little ship afloat!

❤️ HAPPY WEEKEND, CAMP VERDE! ❤️

🌵❤️ TWO DAYS OF WONDERFUL CHAOS… AND 251 MEMBERS!!! 🎉

Sooooo busy it wasn’t even funny! Well, actually, some of it was! 😂

What a whirlwind of activity, teamwork and progress at The Center!

🔨❄️ Absolute Comfort HVAC — Chris Terrell and his hardworking team are making tremendous progress with our mini-splits! Upstairs is almost finished, and drywall is going up to the ceiling!

We’ve moved the dining tables so nobody gets an unexpected sprinkling of drywall in their soup. NO, that’s NOT a crouton! 🤣🥣

💃 CENTERLIFE has been buzzing!

Jodi with Easy Does It Dance Club, Kerry with Chair Exercises and Bingo, and Rebecca with Healthy U!

Huge thanks to Miss Bonnie, Michelle, Jodi and Kerry for keeping Reception sailing smoothly!

🛍️ THE REFINDERY — our extraordinary Refinders Sue, Renea, Karen, Fawn, Jo, Jill, Stephanie and Gary have been sorting, stocking and keeping everything shipshape! You’re treasures, every one of you! ❤️

🌟 AND A SPECIAL SPOTLIGHT ON TANA ALSTON — OUR OCTOBER VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH! 🌟

This lady NEVER sits still! If there’s a rack to restock, a shelf to straighten, merchandise to organize or a bargain to display, Tana is already three steps ahead!

Her Refindery prowess is legendary, her energy seemingly limitless, and her dedication absolutely priceless!

Tana, you’re a whirlwind in sensible shoes, and we’re so lucky to have you! ❤️👏

👩‍🍳 KITCHEN CAPERS!

First, WONDERFUL NEWS! Our lovely Alicia is on the mend! YAY! We miss you! ❤️

We’ve had a host of fabulous people taking their Food Handler’s certification so they can lend a helping hand!

Special thanks to Sue, Gary and Karen for their tremendous kitchen cleanup efforts!

🥁 A culinary standing ovation for Chef Liz Briggs, creating delicious masterpieces, Chris Grieve, who’s exchanged his guitar for a blender, and our wonderful new member Leann Smit, who’s jumped straight into the kitchen and our hearts!

Delicious food, new friendships, new skills and new teams!

THIS is what community looks like! ❤️

🎉🎉 AND THE BIG NEWS… 251 MEMBERS!!!

We dreamed of 250, reached it, and apparently forgot to stop! 😂

THANK YOU, CAMP VERDE, FOR BELIEVING IN US!

From where we started to where we are today — what an extraordinary journey! And we’re only getting started!

🌻 TOMORROW — FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9

🎨 10:30 AM — Rock Painting with Laura from Accord Healthcare!

🃏 1:00 PM — Cards!

🛍️ REFINDERY REMINDER: Closed Saturday, October 10, so our wonderful team can enjoy Fort Verde Days and hopefully some cooler weather! 🌤️

❤️ To EVERYONE who has pitched in, washed a dish, moved a table, shared a smile or welcomed a newcomer…

THANK YOU!

We’re building something rather special here, and it’s all because of YOU!

251 MEMBERS AND COUNTING! 🌵❤️🎉

🌟❤️ AND THEN THERE WERE 250… ❤️🌟

Some milestones are measured in numbers. Others are measured in smiles, friendships, laughter, kindness, and that wonderful feeling of belonging.

Today, at the Camp Verde Senior Center, those two things came together.

🎉 WE WELCOMED OUR 250TH MEMBER! 🎉

From where we started to where we stand today… what a remarkable journey it has been!

What began as a vision of a brighter, busier, more welcoming Center has blossomed into something rather extraordinary.

A place where strangers become friends, volunteers become family, laughter fills the rooms, and every person adds another little piece to the heart of our community.

250 members. 250 reasons to celebrate. And countless reasons to be grateful. ❤️

To everyone who has joined us, supported us, volunteered, donated, encouraged us, or simply walked through our doors with a smile — THANK YOU!

We’re not just growing in numbers. We’re growing in spirit, friendship, and purpose.

❤️ AND IF YOU HAVEN’T JOINED US YET… WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? ❤️

There is a place for YOU here!

Come through our doors. Pull up a chair. Share a story, make a friend, discover something new, and become part of a community that truly cares.

You don’t have to know anyone. You don’t have to have a special reason. You simply have to come as you are.

Because somewhere between the first hello and the next cup of coffee, something wonderful happens…

You stop being a visitor and start feeling like you belong. ❤️

Let’s make it 300! And then 400! Not because we’re chasing numbers, but because every new member means another friendship, another story, and another life touched by the magic of community.

And the best part?

We’re only just getting started! 🌻

As for today’s wonderfully exhausting Wednesday… goodness gracious, WHAT A DAY! 😂

There is SO much to tell, so many people to thank, and quite possibly a few tales to share!

But that, dear friends, will have to wait until tomorrow morning.

Tonight, we’re simply going to bask in the joy of 250! 🎉❤️

The Center. The Shared Table. The Refindery.

Three wonderful parts. One extraordinary community.

Our doors are open. Our hearts are full. And there’s always room for one more.

Will YOU be number 251? ❤️🌻
