What a great video put together for Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative 50th anniversary. It was an honor being one of the shareholders featured in the film. Grandpa Lawrence, my dad Tim and myself(Josh) all being interviewed as well many great action shots of our harvest crew.

50 years ago yesterday, sugarbeet growers in Minnesota and Dakota officially formed the Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative. Its first crop was planted in 1974! While Minn-Dak was the first, all 9 sugarbeet processors in the U.S. are grower-owned cooperatives.

Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative estimates 2021 production at 3 million tons, an amount that the cooperative strives to achieve year in and year out, said Mike Metzger, the cooperative's vice president of agriculture.

The 2021 Sugarbeet harvest has begun. Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative would like to partner with you to ensure a safe and successful harvest for the entire community. We encourage truck drivers and all those involved with the sugarbeet harvest and the public at large to do their part by staying alert, being aware of their surroundings and not taking unnecessary risk. Remember that loaded trucks take extra time to stop.
