Back in Evergreen. For the third time this month, actually. 😄

This one came our way through a referral, and Niko was there to swap out the homeowner’s existing Culligan unit for their new Kinetico system.

Pretty cool when someone recommends your team to a neighbor, friend, or family member — that kind of trust means a lot to us.

Thanks for having us back, San Jose!

You probably used water five times this morning before you even thought about it.

Shower. Coffee. Brush your teeth. Fill the dog’s bowl. Start a load of laundry.

That’s kind of the point of . Water is so reliably there that most of us don’t think twice about how much we depend on it — or everything that has to happen before we turn on a faucet.

Today is a good reminder to appreciate the people, infrastructure, and resources that keep water flowing through our communities here in the Bay Area, and to be a little more thoughtful about how we use it.

Because imagining a whole day without it? No, thanks.

And if you want to make the most of the water you have at your home or business, well… you know who to call. 😉

PFAS are a large group of man-made chemicals, and some have been detected in water supplies around the Bay Area. That doesn’t mean it’s time to panic, and it definitely doesn’t mean every home needs the same treatment.

It does mean it’s worth knowing what’s in your water and what your options are.

When PFAS treatment is needed, technologies such as activated carbon and reverse osmosis can reduce certain PFAS. The important part is choosing a system that’s actually been tested and certified for what you’re trying to reduce — not just something with “PFAS” on the box.

If you’re curious about your area, EWG has an interactive PFAS map that’s worth a look. We’ll put it in the comments. 👇

And if that map leaves you with more questions than answers, ask us. We’d much rather have a conversation about your water than scare you into buying something you may not need.

Okay Benjamin, save some 5-star reviews for the rest of the team. 😂⭐

Seriously though, this is the kind of feedback we love seeing. Showing up on time, knowing your stuff, explaining things without making it complicated, and treating someone’s home like you’d want yours treated.

That’s Benjamin. And judging by the reviews lately, quite a few of you have gotten to know him too. 😄

Thanks for the kind words, Moubachir — and nice work, Benjamin! 👏

This week is , and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our team than with the words of the people they take care of every day. 💙

These screenshots are just some of the reviews we’ve received in the last 30 days. There are more than 950 on Google now, and after all these years, we still don’t take a single one for granted.

💙 Because this business has always been about people. 💙

It’s about the person who answers the phone. The person who comes to your home, listens, tests your water, explains your options, and gets the work done right. It’s about the people behind the scenes who make sure someone shows up when they said they would. And it’s about the customers who trust us enough to invite us into their homes — sometimes for the first time, and sometimes for the 20th or 25th year.

That trust is what keeps all of us at De Anza doing what we do.

So this week, a big thank you to our entire team for taking care of our customers, and an equally big thank you to our customers for continuing to put your trust in us. We’re pretty lucky to have both. 😊

We’re starting a new little tradition at DeAnza: Work of the Month. 🏆

For September, we had to give it to Aidan.

There wasn’t exactly a lot of room to work with on this one. The space between the house and the shed was so tight that we didn’t just need a good plumber… we needed our skinniest one. 😂

Somehow, Aidan squeezed himself back there, ran all that copper, and got the whole thing looking this good. We’re still not entirely sure how he fit…

But the job was done, and the client was satisfied. 🙌

Nice work, Adian. And yes, we probably owe you a cheeseburger after this one. 🍔😂

You signed what felt like approximately 847 pieces of paper, and by closing day, you knew where the property line was, how old the furnace was and that the roof was replaced in 2019. 😅

But somewhere between the inspection, appraisal, insurance, walkthrough and closing, did anyone tell you about the water?

When you buy a home, you do not just inherit the keys. You also inherit its water source, plumbing, existing treatment equipment, maintenance history and sometimes a few unanswered questions.

Once the boxes are mostly unpacked, add getting to know your water to the new-home checklist.

De Anza offers free in-home water testing, and if the home already has treatment equipment, we can help you identify the system, understand what it does and determine what kind of service it may need.

Rain falls, moves across the land and filters through layers of soil and rock. It collects in rivers, reservoirs and underground aquifers, where it may eventually become part of the water supply a family relies on every day.

That connection between the environment and our homes is easy to forget when getting water is usually as simple as turning on the faucet.

For World Environmental Health Day, we are recognizing something that is central to our work at De Anza: helping Bay Area families better understand their water through testing, reliable information and treatment selected for their specific needs.

Your water has a story before it ever reaches your home, and testing gives you a better place to begin than guessing.

Basically: your softener doesn't have to be silent. But you know your house. If something suddenly sounds different, give us a call.

We can help figure out whether it's just your system doing its thing or something that needs a closer look.
