Whew !!!! It was a busy weekend with my "A TEAM". We had our toes in the sandbox from Intro to FEI with rides nearly every hour from 8am until the end of the show each day. Most finished in the top 3, with a few wins and lots of loot coming home.

Birchwood Equestrian's Nouvella experienced her second show ever and we are still learning each other's nuances as she is a fairly new ride for me. Scores were all over the place like Kentucky's weather but the experience and confidence she is gaining is huge !!!

Not to be overshadowed by his new sister, Birchwood Equestrian's Catch Me, aka Gus has come into himself this year, learning how to navigate his huge frame for a solid foundation before moving into more advanced work. As my friend Peter Grey says, it's always better to move up a day later than a day too early. Gus needed this year to simply be. To build strength and coordination to truly understand and manifest what his body is trying to do.

Kay Levdahl's Total Eclipse is the baby of the barn at barley 3 yrs old. This was her first show so let's just take her to one of the largest world class venues in the world, right ?!
What a level minded young lady she is. The experiences she gained in such an electric atmosphere is worth every second. Her tests weren't nearly as steady as they are in her home arena, as one would expect with a youngster. Still, she improved with every center line and I can't wait to see what next year brings with her !!

Last, is my own Zarcita who came back to the show ring this year with me at I-1. LOTS to continue improving, but she is certainly on the right path. Zita isn't a youngster anymore and building the strength it takes for the FEI takes years. We had some solid good numbers, and some miscommunication yielding lower numbers throughout each test. Onward and upward to the next show!!

A HUGE THANK YOU to Sara Bushong for helping out Sarurday. To my owners, it is a privilege to partner with you in the training of your horses. To my sponsors, Thank You isn't enough. The support of my team this year especially is HUGE !!

A little field trip for the A-Team this past weekend.
Some highs, some lows but that's the horse business 😉

All in all, a fabulous weekend of growth for all 3 horses.

Thank you Birchwood Equestrian for the opportunity to continue developing Catch Me and Nouvella.

As always, I am most appreciative of the support from my stellar team of sponsors :
