Our Adams Family Farm has been established to provide farm raised meat and organic produce to our family and friends.
Finished a little Fall decorating in the farmhouse. Can’t wait to enjoy a fire burning here in a few months. 🔥
Does anyone else have their Fall decorations out? Share a pic!
Muscadine Jelly is ready!! Y’all!! It is so good 🤤
Just message us if you would like a jar. $3
It’s has been a crazy day on the farm today!! On top of everything else we’ve done, one of our Mama Pigs went into labor. We have 6 little piggies now. Mama Pig #2 is due in a couple of weeks! 🐷
Whose in the market for some muscadine jelly?? 10 pounds picked this morning and will be making jelly tonight!! 👩🏻🌾
Well we don’t have a farm dog to highlight for National Dog Day but we do have our Barn Cats which (believe it or not) help round up chickens each evening. This is Slim ⬇️. She is a true chicken wrangler and loves hanging out with her feathered friends 😉.
Buck moon tonight 🦌
We hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th!!
Not a bad haul last night! Our first time planting potatoes. We started small and planted 6 potato seeds and yielded about 3lbs out of them!! 🙌🏼 This year we planned a little differently and planted things we use all through the year. Potatoes, broccoli, asparagus and other produce we could store. Also this year we will be planting a second last summer garden and should produce very fast. Keeping our fingers crossed!🤞🏼
Gotta love early Saturday morning when we have a jail break. And yes, after videoing this and laughing I headed out to help Dennis. 😂
Well an exciting early Saturday morning event….pig jailbreak. 🤦🏻♀️. And yes, after the video and laughing a minute ….or two, I went and helped 🐷. All were returned safely after a little sightseeing with the horses.
Great progress this weekend on pig barn #2 for the girlies!!
Just picked-up our swarm! Thank you Michael Atkins! And also thanks to our friends that tagged us to let us know about it!! Y’all are great!! And we got to see a gorgeous sunset while getting it done.
I spy some June strawberries coming along nicely! 🍓
Our first time hosting a field trip was so much fun!! We appreciate the teachers, parent and children from IFBC Child Development Center. We were able to show them our little farm and teach them about chickens, horses, pigs, honeybees 🐝 and played a game that taught them how to be a “busy bee”. We hope word gets out and we can host even more!!
So thankful for the rain last night!! It’s been so hot the last few days Pork Chop is using the water trough as a lounging pool. 🤣. The things you experience on a farm! 🐷
Our new little ladies are starting to show out!! Still a little small (for right now) but super cute!! 🥰
We finally got the girls to the farm this weekend. They seem to be right at home 😉. Next is the construction to their little shelter and then (hopefully) we will have some little piggies!! 🐷🐷
For death has no hold on me. HE is risen!!
The girls are helping till up the garden 😂
We added 5 new young ladies to the flock to maintain our egg production. They should be ready to lay within the next few weeks. ❤️
One of the shortest and craziest weekends so far this year. Had to speed track the pig barn and pen to get the boys. Finally have all 3 males at the farm. Now onto building part 2 for the ladies in the next couple of weeks.
We have decided to do our first giveaway!! YAY!! Here are the rules: 1. Follow us on Instagram 2. Tag two people that you think would like to buy from their local farmer. 3. If you have bought from us before add that in the comments and you get an extra entry. The winner will receive one of our custom hats made by our friends at Rafter B Leather!!
We will announce the winner on Sunday, March 6!!
Pig pen #1 almost complete! We should be adding new additions 🐖by the end of the week 😁🥓

Progress!! Pig shelter #1 coming to fruition. This will be for the "fellas" and then we will build another for the "ma-mas". Shout out to our soon new neighbor, Tim Rhyne for all his help and advise 😁.
We have the girls ready for the snow and ice. They are super cozy and warm! ❄️☃️
Looks like it!! 😬
Because we harvest honey during the spring and fall, one of the things we do in the winter is make sure our bees are well fed. Sugar water is their favorite! Tomorrow they will have enough to get through the next few weeks. 🐝 If you've never had our honey, make sure you get on the list for this spring! 🍯
Happy 2022 from the farm!! We are looking forward to an exciting new year!! 🐷🐔🐴🐮🐝
This weekend Austin made an aerial video of the are where we will put the orchard, the vineyard and the berry patch. You can't see it very well on the video but there are three areas that are separated by terraces which will be a natural barrier between each crop. Still lots of work to do!
The 70 degree weather did not get wasted today. Once Dennis figured a way to get the plow into the hard ground we worked on the plot of land where we will plant the orchard, vineyard and berries. One step at a time.
Over the last few weeks we have been working on the new pig pen. We moved it from the previous place as we “learned pig”. 🤪 We even got Sydney Yeager to drive the skid steer and use the auger. This spring we will have more sausage and bacon!!
And so its begins......
Last month we were finally able to call the extension of the farm "ours"! So to celebrate we did some old fashion tent camping down at the creek. Austin and Sydney and our "adopted son" John camped along with us. The only one we were missing was our Gracie, who had to work 😞. We still had lots of fun but didn't sleep much at all. That weekend we had was the kick-off to so hard work that has already begun.
We hope you enjoy our farm adventure as we will post our progress along the way. Stay turned!
