Hey y'all! While our prep day related work was light, I conducted a later evening hive inspection. It truly was a race against the clock. I'll tidy up my notes and present them Sunday. Sunday/Monday I'll try to have our weekly hive inspection video posted to YouTube. But now as the sun and clock continue to eyeball me, I write this post. Its Prep Day! 🥳
We've concluded our work for the week minus this post. 8:59pm (2059 hrs) we reach sundown, and the best part of every week begins - our Sabbath day of rest. Holy, sanctified and set apart!

Are you part of those with this with a burning curiosity of the Biblical 7th day Sabbath? Is something tugging at you to inquire deeper? Or do you already observe but struggle to find a body of like-minded believers and followers of the Lamb who was slain and risen victorious over sin AND death? Do you wish to find and support Shabbat Keeping Businesses? Or simply learn more about it? Feel free to follow the hyperlinked group above and answer the questions to join! Hope to see you there! Have a blessed and productive weekend! We'll see y'all again Sunday!

Y'all stay blessed now!

Hey Y'all!

Needing something to change up the weekly dinner menu? Try this one.

Pizza Pasta is a home favorite here in Thunder Ridge Ranch, delicious and easy!🍕🍝 Recipe below:

Boil pasta - strain

Sauce - 2 parts Alfredo (we like one part homestyle one part garlic) 1 part homemade tomato sauce. We like to add a Tuscan garlic herb blend (Italian themed herbs) and dice kosher pepperoni slices into the sauce. Melt a little mozzarella into the sauce.

Combine sauce and pasta into a baking dish, preheating oven to 350°, mixing well. Cover top with kosher pepperoni slices then more mozzarella cheese.

Into oven until cheese melts then broil cheese to desired browning.

Serve!

Hey y'all! Last Thursday we checked on the hives again, as many of y'all know. Here is how A1 and A2 turned out. We continue to experience technical difficulties and we're looking into our options as to how to remedy this as low cost as possible without affecting the quality of our content. As usual, the link to the video can be found below!

Hey y'all! Here is a look into the hive inspection last Thursday! The three hives on Thunder Hill in Apiary A are looking good! A4 received a population boost at the previous inspection (as those who watch the YouTube videos already knew). That played an incredible role of stabilizing the population between the weeks! Simultaneously, it seemed to reinforce the queen's confidence as she had 4 beautiful frames of brood on display Thursday (an increase of 4)! All brood of varying stages looking healthy and of god laying pattern!
A3 on the 31st of May, alternatively, had 18 frames covered in bees and 2 frames being fully utilized for brood. By the 11th, that population dropped to 14 frames covered, but an increase of 2 frames of brood - from 2 to 3 frames fully used for brood. The former honey frames were checkerboarded between active brood frames to encourage the queen to lay more eggs there.
We will see Thursday, how well A3 and A4 are doing despite drought and a weaker honey flow. We remain hopeful that we'll get some rains to help increase nectar and pollen. This will help the bees draw out more comb to increase the supers freeing up space for the queen to lay more brood. A3 has the experimental empty frame of last year where the bees have begun drawing out a couple of strips of honeycomb. The hope is they will fill it for a pastor friend seeking combed honey, praying and counting on my bees to produce honey for a jar he may purchase.
A5 is a story of success amidst concerns previously that the virgin queen had failed her mating flight. YouTube watchers, once again, got the sneak peek and already knew that success story! Last Thursday we took a deeper dive into that hive to discover, 6 frames fully covered in bees - 4 of which being fully utilized for brood! A5 may require additional space at our next inspection; a project we must accomplish between now and then! That is the current status from Thursday's viewing, with a promising future and hope for rain! We hope y'all have had a blessed and productive day!

Hey y'all! We just got home from the farmer's market, and have about an hour to finish our Sabbath Prep. Fortunately, we don't have a whole lot left to do. We hope y'all have had a blessed and productive day. Do we get tired of the rush of Prep Day? Absolutely not because the rest that follows afterwards washes over us and is refreshing and rewarding!

Not every week is hectic either. Some weeks are less taxing than others. It all depends how much prep work we have to do and what else is going on at the farm or market that week. Good or bad we consider it all joy because we know the peace, restoration and joy that follows! This is why we share that you too may get to taste of this goodness should you choose! We share because Adonai gave us this platform and following. Out of love and gratitude we give a portion of it back to Him and His Kingdom. If you wish to learn more or find others and support businesses who share these beliefs we encourage you to join the Shabbat Keeping Businesses group. Until then, we'll see y'all Sunday!

Y'all stay blessed now!

Happy Prep Day y'all! May your day be blessed and productive; and may your souls be fed, and spirits lifted high!

I recently posted about the Department of War's changes to the religious codes. The post received many comments, some of which escalated into arguments, especially about the Trinity. I want to share how, even as a Christian, I have struggled with the concept of the Trinity.

I was in and out of churches as a kid, but didn’t grow up in a Christian home. At 21, I fully dedicated my life to the LORD. In my 30s, I still hadn’t read the entire Bible and struggled to understand the Trinity. At one point, I asked my Pastor why Jesus seemed elevated to the exclusion of God. The question wasn’t disrespectful or unbelieving. I just couldn’t understand why God seemed limited to the Old Testament while only Jesus was worshipped.

Our youth Pastor challenged the teens and the church to read the entire Bible, and I did that a few times over the past decade. Yet when a friend questioned me about the Trinity, I struggled to explain it. That struggle led me to dive deep into the concept. Once I began reading through the lens of Jesus being God, it leaped off the pages as if illuminated by the Holy Spirit. That’s when I began to see the apparitions of the Angel of the Lord, the Theophanies, and Christophanies.

I wrote about it in the article "Jesus is God: The Triune Godhead.” I'll link it in the comments. I say all this to show that even as a Christian, it took decades to grasp the concept and articulate it clearly. This is an area where we must approach with charity and grace, allowing the Holy Spirit to move in another's faith journey.
